So we use an app for communication for my job. Its constant vibrations. It doesnt stop. From when I go to bed to, like today, when it vibrated off my night stand and onto the floor where it was loud enough to wake me up.
Im walking in the spiderwebs.
Angie, I saw your post last night and was hoping someone else would chime in but since it's the weekend I figured it would be Monday.
As long as you keep playing the role, they will keep treating you that way. While we all want to have a good relationship with our parents and siblings, wanting doesn't make it so and sometimes you have to either decide that you are willing to accept the 'lesser' role in the family and swallow your hurt and be ok with it, or walk away (or walk away somewhat, there are varying degrees of insulating yourself).
If you choose to keep doing what you are doing and acting the same way with them, expect them to keep hurting you. It isn't nice, but sadly families are shitty in general and we don't live in a fairy tale where families treat each other well and equally.
I erased my post, because she did get me something.
But I still know my place, and I feel like I have accepted it. I think it stems from having a low self esteem and being a people pleaser.
My mom and sister have stronger personalities than me, but my sister has gotten better with her approach to me, since I have told her how I feel.
I just hold it in until I erupt.
No, I dont mind hearing it from you.
You speak the truth.
This happens in other aspects, work, with my husband, my son. Ive gotten better, I vent to people.
Its mostly the shelter, since we dont have the teens or college age kids doing the brunt of the work, because school, I have to clean a lot now. I have a bad back and knees. Thats why I dont work at a clinic pretty much. But I feel bad because we are going to lose another volunteer bc shes a teacher.
At the night shift, I do paperwork, medicate, organize meds and medical sheets. Someone else comes in and cleans the kittens. We have 5 litters.
I dont know how to completely change though, I know its very unhealthy. You are right.
She did, she always gives good advice.
I went to the McDonald's drive-thru to get food for my kids. The employee taking my order was rude. I had ordered two six-piece nugget meals, but I changed it to four because, realistically, my kids just want the toy. The employee literally sighed before changing my order. She also added a sweet tea that I didn't ask for. She read me the total, and I told her I didn't ask for sweet tea. She never corrected it. I waited a few minutes to see if she'd come back on the speaker, but she never did. I drove off and went to a different McDonald's.
They have Hello Kitty x Godzilla toys. Super cute!
Thank you, I've only done it once before when a Moe's employee started talking bad about customers in general just because I pointed out that she forgot to include the guacamole and sour cream that my burrito was supposed to come with.
Not currently. I also enjoyed their $1 drinks. They need to bring them back!
