Australian tourist Sally Contarino (26) last seen 6/20/2026 near Mount Charleston, NV

A 26-year-old tourist from Australia remains missing after she failed to board her flight home following a solo trip to Las Vegas.

Sally Grace Contarino went on a solo trip to the United States, during which she planned to visit Las Vegas, Mount Charleston and Southern California.

While she was initially in contact with her family throughout the trip, Contarino's family members later realized they had not heard from her since Saturday, June 20, and reported her missing.
Although she was supposed to return to Australia on Sunday, June 21, per the Herald Sun, Contarino never arrived, and her family hasn't heard from her since.

Contarino, who has brown hair and brown eyes, reportedly booked a bus ticket from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, where she planned to board her flight. According to The Sun, Contarino never scanned the bus ticket or showed up for her flight.

According to KSNV, Contarino was traveling alone and was last spotted near Mount Charleston, approximately 35 to 45 miles northwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

The tourist was on a solo trip and it has now been revealed by police she sent a final Facebook message to a male friend on June 19 shortly before she vanished, telling him that she was going to Lone Mountain for a hike, according to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report.

Ms Contarino is a keen hiker and had shared plans to conquer Lone Mountain, which offers stunning views of Mount Charleston. It is not clear whether she planned to hike alone or with somebody else.
