A girl who went missing last month is related to another missing person who hasn’t been seen in almost 12 years.

It's sad, but she's obviously dead at this point. Someone would have either come forward or found her otherwise, you would think. Obviously there was a bad family dynamic going on there.

The parents of missing Hawkins County girl Summer Wells are declining media requests on Wednesday following a recent search linked to their daughter’s case.
Don and Candus Wells took to social media on Wednesday to say they do not want to be interviewed and are waiting to hear more information from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

This comes just one day after the TBI revealed its agents, along with detectives, searched an area on Van Hill Road on Nov. 13 following a tip about Summer’s case.
The spokesperson couldn’t provide information about what the tip was or if anything was substantiated from it. However, they confirmed the investigation is active and ongoing.
Someone mentioned this case on Reddit which made me go looking for updates. The parents were on Dr Phil, you can watch it on YouTube. Phil’s a goober but it gives you an idea how the parents are. Definitely not working with a full pack of crayons, these two.
