Family and friends are urgently searching for 41-year-old Ray Whidden, a trans man who disappeared last Thursday night in San Francisco.

Surveillance video shows Whidden leaving his apartment without a shirt or his eyeglasses, raising significant concerns among his family due to his severe vision impairment.

The situation is particularly alarming because Whidden’s broken eyeglasses were found inside the residence, rendering him nearly legally blind without them.

Sarah Whidden, Ray Whidden’s partner, said the last time she saw her husband was last Thursday night before bed. “I was hoping to see him walking through the door any minute,” Sarah Whidden said.

Whidden indicated that her husband had been experiencing mental issues.

However, Leticia Molina Romero, Ray Whidden’s mother, struggled to accept the explanation of a mental health crisis.
