Lindsey Watts (35) missing since 5/19/2026 from Edina, MO

EDINA, Mo. – The family of Lindsey Watts confirmed for Muddy River News that she has been missing since May 19.

Law enforcement has been seen at her home, 510 North 5th Street.

Echo Menges of the Edina Sentinel said what has authorities so concerned is that Watts’ phone was found in a ditch near her home by the sheriff himself.

It was also very unusual that Watts would not communicate with family or her workplace that she was going somewhere.

She's a beautiful woman. I would say that it's a possible suicide, but the fact that her phone was found in a ditch doesn't sit well with me. Usually people going off to do the deed leave their phone behind so that nobody can track them.

Most locals feel that it is most definitely not suicide, and the former boyfriend is definitely high on the suspect list. I cannot fathom that she would leave her daughter voluntarily. The former boyfriend (also child's father) kidnapped Lindsey several years ago and held her for several days before letting her go. He has been mixed up in a lot of shady stuff and has been in and out of jail multiple times.

Welcome to MDS. It sounds like there could be something going on with her ex-boyfriend.

The efforts to find an Edina woman, who vanished from her home late May 19, 2026 or in the early morning hours of May 20, 2026, are now entering the third week.

Savannah Perrigo, who lives just three blocks from 35-year-old Lindsey Watts on North 5th Street in Edina, told Tri-State Trusted News she believes she heard Watts scream around the time of the woman's disappearance.

Perrigo said she had just gotten home and was letting her dogs out to potty when it happened.
When she found out that Watts had been reported missing, she contacted Knox County Sheriff Carl Knoche to let him know she thought it was watts she heard scream and not those boys.

"After you play it back in your head, it's one of them (scream) that you can't forget,” Perrigo said. “Like, you stop and think about it, and you're like, 'Hmm, no! That doesn't sit right.'"

She didn't report it to law enforcement until the next day because she just thought it was a group of boys who scooter around Edina, and when they make squealing noises, it sounds like a woman.

It's so funny to me when a news source uses the word "potty" haha.

    Just had to add that.

I agree and found the 'news article' to be poorly written as a whole. Maybe it was AI.

It's been almost a month since a northeast Missouri woman vanished from her home without a trace, and she hasn't been seen since.

Lindsay Watts, 35, of Edina, was last seen by her daughter at the family's home on North Fifth Street around 11 p.m. May 19, 2026.
Knox County Sheriff Carl Knocke recently told The Edina Sentinel that investigators have identified "people of interest" in the case, but he provided no further details about that.

The sheriff said he and other law enforcement agencies are “continuing to build their case based solely on evidence and the facts, not speculation or rumors.”

Knox County search warrants provide a look at the evidence gathered in the investigation into the disappearance of Lindsey Watts.

The warrants document the steps taken by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the days following Watts’ disappearance.

The documents show investigators searched a 2013 Ford F-150, a black iPhone recovered from the vehicle, records from multiple cellphone providers, and social media accounts.
On the iPhone, investigators reviewed photographs, videos, text messages, emails, internet history, app data, location information and other electronically stored evidence believed to be relevant to the investigation.

Warrants were also obtained for records from Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile/U.S. Cellular, Facebook, and Snapchat.

The warrants also show investigators’ efforts to determine where people went, who they communicated with, and what digital evidence may have existed in the hours after Watts’ disappearance.
