Even if no one passed away in your home, that doesn't mean that the property itself didn't have someone pass. Also, we once lived in a home where a previous owner attempted suicide but did not pass. However, her presence was very strong in the home.

If you are only experiencing the voices and nothing else, it sounds harmless. It might seem goofy, but you can ask them to go away and that might help.

I did not know that. I will try that thanks.

When I was a kid someone I knew had an old house built in the late 1800's and they found a gravestone of a little boy from early 1900's in the yard that had been covered over with grass and weeds for years. There was a window in a corner of the house that was covered up on inside and outside of home for some reason to where it was basically removed. They decided to put that window back in and when they tore into the wall and found the old window sill there were markings on the window sill from a child.

Not long after they finished the remodel with adding that window back in a neighbor mentioned seeing a little boy staring at her out of the recently uncovered window during a time that no one was home. Neighbor said it was a pale looking boy dressed like he was from 100 years ago. This family had no little boy that age and for sure no one was home when the neighbor saw this boy in their house. Also the neighbor never knew they had recently found a grave in the yard or found any markings from a child on the remains of the old window sill that was uncovered.

How neat. It is very sad too. How close was the child's grave to the house?

They had a large backyard and after fixing the yard up more and more they found 3 or 4 different gravestones. Flat stones that could easily be covered by someone not taking care of the lawn.

Most of the graves were not too far away from the house. There was 1 grave that was right on the side of the house but I dont remember if that was the boy's grave or not.

It made sense back in the day to bury family on property, but being close the house is not good.

Right some of the graves had different last names and the dates varied from late 1800's to early 1900's it might have been 2 separate families that buried people in the yard. The graves were not near each other either

In this situation I think that was his window that he often looked out of cuz some child had carved into the window sill in the past. So when the window came back he got his spot back

Were the carvings child-like sunshine and stars or were they like...fingernail claw marks trying to escape carvings?

    Gawd I am morbid.

Child carvings, I think it was the kid's first name carved in too. It appeared that was "his window" when they found the old window sill

Pretty sure what I heard last night was a ghost - or an intruder (if you can all it that?) so either way, scary as fuck. I was in bed, and I heard a loud noise. I thought it was bass from someone's radio in their car, that was driving near my house. But then I realized it was coming from the roof. It legit sounded like a 200 pound man, running across my roof, right above my head! I have heard squirrels and stuff, I can tell because the footsteps are light - this one was NOT, it was like a damn grown man! I froze, but didn't hear anything after that.

Maybe I am going crazy lol.

No, it's sloped (like I thought most houses are?) so it comes to points at the very tope and slopes down on all sides. Being on the roof is doable, as my husband has had to go up there, but it's not level so it wouldn't make sense for anyone to be up there, especially 9:30 at night..

If I had been half asleep, I could probably explain it away as though it didn't really happen. But I was wide awake and I heard it! It wasn't a faint noise, either. So loud right above my head.

I think it's a ghost. I have had some weird things happen in that house. This isn't the first time I have hear footsteps on the roof, but it is the first time I was wide awake and this was the loudest one.

I'm always alone when it happens, too! I think he or she does that on purpose so I will look crazy. That's why I haven't said anything about it to my husband or kid lol.

I wonder if you asked them separately if they have heard anything, especially the kid, if they would tell you that they have and just thought it was them?

Yeah I will probably ask my son when I get home. He was up but his room is kind of far from mine, and the noise was right above my room so I dunno. He will probably think I am crazy

It's probably just someone living in your attic. Nothing to fear.
