We started Hijack with Idris Elba last night.
We've only watched one episode so far. He is amazing. Watching a pilot/airplane show with a pilot involves him pointing out all of their errors and (I don't want to spoil it for you so won't go into details) he was pissed with the Captain's behavior. So we only watched the first one and decided to pace it out a little bit instead of binging them all at once.
You guys know I don't watch a ton of TV, so it takes something special to lure me in. Idris Elba in a serious role can usually do that. Have you seen his Luther series? I HIGHLY recommend that if you haven't.
There were a couple of small pilot errors, but the main thing was the personal behavior of the Captain. Hubby was annoyed with what he did, but of course it really had to happen for the plot of the show.I will keep you updated as we watch it.
Definitely watch Luther! I checked and it's on Hulu. Watch season 1-4 and just stop there. They came back and made a season 5 due to fan demand and it sucked, the ending was terrible and it's not needed. The series ended after season 4 as far as I am concerned. I also love Ruth Wilson in that series. She is diabolical!
I haven't seen it, but was watching the ad last night. Is it good?
Okay, keep me posted. If it is good, we'll check it out.
I'll put seasons 1-4 of Luther on our list.
OMG, Pluribus is one of the best shows we have ever seen. It is from the same people who did Breaking Bad and it is amazingly good. Our other favorite show is Severance.
I don't know if you have ever seen it, but the twins (who were super close to her) and Minnie's mom...ugh heartbreaking to see them breaking down. Also, to hear Minnie in past seasons say she wanted to be healthier because she didn't want to die yet...then she does, and because of a fucking car accident.
Shit sucks.
Anyone watching The Pitt? And my wife and I just finished a show with Eddie Redmayne in it, The Jackal (not the exact title).
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Go fuck yourself.
I was going to check The Pitt out.
Im watching Scarpetta with Nicole Kidman, Bobby Cannavale (love him) Jamie Lee Curtis, Simon Baker....
IDK why but I love everthing Nicole Kidman is in. Her cold demeanor works with her being an ME.
I get the feeling I'm asking the wrong crowd (lol) but did anyone watch the Girls Next Door when it was out in the mid 2000's? I recently rewatched it (now moved on to Kendra and Kendra on Top). It's so cringy now, even more so than back then, the things that went on there - and that was just what the showed. I bought Holly Madison's book, started reading it yesterday and am already halfway through as I couldn't put it down (and I am NOT a reader haha).
The behind-the-scenes stuff is crazy, and all her gossip...just wow.
