I didn't really know her, but I wanted to say to all of you who did that I am sorry for the loss of this amazing human. I feel like I got to know her by reading your posts here.

    Rest in Peace, Queena.

Black don't crack. She aged really well and didn't get much of a chance to live her younger life because she needed to take care of her siblings at an early age. Besides, I'm 52 years old and have an inner 12 year old boy that comes out. We all are only as old a we act. She was young at heart.

Fatima Aziza Hollis- Lambert was born on February 6, 1975 to Loresa Hollis-Murden and
Waymond Betts in Cairo, IL. At an early age, Fatima accepted Christ as her lord and savior.
Fatima was beautiful, intelligent, and loved by so many people. She established relationships
with people that could last forever, and she always looked out for those who she loved.
Fatima graduated from Kenwood Academy i I11n Chicago, IL.

Fatima adopted two children: Fredrick A. Hollis-Burnett and Alexus Hollis-Murden. Fatima was a
very important pillar to their ultimate success and well-being.

God also blessed Fatima with the gift of matrimony and true motherhood. Fatima met Ikie
Lambert of Cairo, IL, and they later became married on Juneteenth (June 19, 2014). Fatima
would say that they were married on “the blackest day of the year.” Together, Fatima and Ikie
created Ikie Jahmai Lambert and were overjoyed with the idea of procreation and everything
that being a family has meant to them.

Fatima was called home on April 1, 2025 at 3:45 AM surrounded by her loved ones. She is
preceded in death by her grandparents, with a special mention of her maternal grandmother
Lular Hollis, her parents, Loresa and Waymond, and her stepfather Vincent Murden. Lastly, her
favorite cousin Cortez Johnson; and uncles Bobby, Willie and Frank Hollis.

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, a devine husband Ikie Lambert; son Jahmai
Lambert; adopted children Alexus and Frederick; step daughters, Asia & India Morris, and
Kalandria Ware; siblings Carletos, Quintarius, Jamie, Sequita, Jamila, and Shantelle. Cousins
Jamelia Hollis and Willie Hollis; auntie Regina Hollis; Uncles Randall Hollis and Thomas Johnson,
bestfriend India Edwards; sister-in-love, Marisha Martin, sister-in-law Shunicia Johnson-Jackson,
brothers-in-law Kaleefa and Malcolm Lambert, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
    friends.

Fatima will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. Her smile and high-pitched laugh
will certainly forever ring a bell in our minds. Fatima’s love for reading books, listening to music,
playing video games, applying her facial makeup, and being super tech-savvy will never be
    forgotten.

Services for Fatima Aziza Hollis will be held on Sunday April 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Illinois with Rev. Dr. J.L. Posey officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Lawn Memorial Garden in Villa Ridge, Illinois. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm. Professional Service and Care has been Entrusted to Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, IL. Online condolences may be left at massiefuneralhome.com
So Puke, it looks like she was originally from Chicago.

I didn't realize she was from Cairo. That is essentially a ghost town now, which is very sad.

I wanted to see if findagrave had a picture of her grave. They don't, but I saw that KimTisha left her a flower. I know that KT does a lot on findagrave.

    I can't believe it's almost been a year.

That was nice of KT to do

I can't believe it's been almost a year either. I miss our FB hijinx. She was always good about making me smile on there and empowering those around her. She would NOT be happy with the way things are right now. Part of me is glad that she isn't here to have to deal with the stress of it all, but mostly I just miss her.

Agreed. As bad as this first part sounds, I can't help but think she wasn't meant to be here to go through this hell.

I miss her and her posts, too
