There was a newer Unsolved Mysteries about his death. It is an interesting case.
Tammy Lynn Leppert (18) missing from Cocoa Beach, FL since 07/06/1983.
She was a model and an actress who appeared in Scarface, Little Darlings, and Spring Break.
On the day she went missing, she left home to go to the beach with a male friend. Later the friend said they got into an argument while driving and he left her in a parking lot off A1A.
One theory is she was abducted and murdered by Christopher Wilder who was a photographer linked to the murders of 12 women across the country.

Her sister is active on the website with all the rules. She posts in the UID section, which is the section I visited them for because they actually have a very good listing of UIDs. At one point (when I still had a FB page) I was a member of her FB page for finding her sister. It's very sad and I would love to see her get answers. I think the rest of the family has passed on without ever getting any answers.
Here's one I had never heard about until recently. Annie McCarrick was an American woman who moved to Ireland. One day all her roommates were out, and after a day of going shopping she vanished.

The "Marion Murders"
https://patch.com/virginia/lorton/st...marion-murders
DNA matched from the perp in both cases but they have not been able to identify who it was yet.Marion Newman and Marion Marshall had a lot in common, especially in the way they were murdered.
It's been almost six years since they were beaten to death in their homes—two single Springfield women in their 70s who didn't know each other, but had the same first name, no children, looked alike and lived in nearly identical red brick ramblers within three miles of each other. The victims were killed three months apart, and in both cases, there was no sign of a break-in.
The murder of Oakey Albert Kite.

Detectives believe the man who killed Oakey "Al" Kite, Jr. was shopping for the perfect victim, posing as a renter and answering a number of ads in the newspaper. The perp responded to a roommate ad and rented the room and then afterwards slowly killed and tortured Al. Afterwards he withdrew exactly the amount he paid for rent with Al's ATM.It's been 15 years since Kite's body was found in the basement of his Aurora townhome after he failed to show up for work. Police walked into a gruesome scene that led them to believe their victim was tied up and tortured for hours.
"His hands were elaborately tied to his ankles and he’s on his face and he was feet whipped which is very painful, a lot of bruising on his feet. The suspect had taken, we assume, some of the kitchen knives and inserted them above Al’s eyeballs and into his eardrums," said Detective Sobieski.
Detective Sobieski said the killer was careful not to leave any evidence behind. They believe he showered at the home and then took any trash with him. The kitchen knives were found in the sink soaking in bleach, along with a key that Kite had given to the renter days earlier.
"So we knew it was the renter who was probably our suspect," said Detective Sobieski.
Despite the careful cleanup, police were able to develop a DNA profile based on evidence they found on the steps leading out of the basement. The DNA is giving police new hope that groundbreaking technology could help solve this case.

The Angela Hammond case has always been horrifying to me because of her boyfriend trying to catch the truck.

The Ellen Greenberg case:
https://www.cnn.com/2025/10/13/us/el...iladelphia-cec
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Ellen_GreenbergIn 2011, schoolteacher Ellen Greenberg was found dead on the kitchen floor of her Philadelphia apartment with some 20 knife wounds and numerous bruises. A city medical examiner ruled her death a suicide – a finding rejected by the 27-year-old’s parents, who were convinced she’d been murdered.
Their fourteen-year quest for the truth prompted multiple lawsuits, numerous headlines, an online petition with 167,000 signatures and a new Hulu documentary series, “Death in Apartment 603.” Earlier this year the pathologist who performed her autopsy reversed his findings, saying he no longer believed Greenberg killed herself.
But on Monday the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office, after reviewing the evidence in the case, issued a report reaffirming its earlier finding. In a 32-page document, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Lindsay Simon concluded, “the manner of Ellen Greenberg’s death is best classified as ‘suicide.’”
In her report, Simon wrote that at the time of her death on January 26, 2011, Greenberg was suffering from anxiety over her work as a schoolteacher – specifically, over grades she was giving her students. “She had an increase in energy to act on her anxious thoughts,” Simon wrote.

I think there is a Hulu documentary on it also.
I am not swearing that we don't. I searched for it before posting and couldn't find anything, but you know how much searching on here sucks. If anyone finds one I will move these posts to her dedicated thread.
I don't buy the suicide theory either. I would be interested in talking to any women her boyfriend has dated before and since then, to see how he was. His texts alone make me uneasy.

This is a good one. At first glance you would think that foul play was involved. Her Mom's engagement ring found under the floormat in her car, that points to her trying to hide it from someone, however if robbery were a motive then the rest of her belongings and money would have been taken. Signs point to nobody being in the car when it wrecked so her being disoriented or confused wouldn't be from that. And this really stuck out for me:
To me it sounds like she may have been on the verge of a mental break or in the middle of one. She had good intentions to go out and find herself, but along the way something happened to her mental wellbeing and it's almost as if she tried to stage her death. She could have placed the ring under the floormat hoping that it would be found and returned to her family, or maybe out of paranoia if she was declining mentally. I'm not completely dismissing the fingerprint under the hood, however any mechanic could have left that at any time. The DNA on her clothes could have been transfer from just about anyone. They don't specify what kind of DNA they're talking about. She was seen alone at the gas station, but kept looking out in to the parking lot during her transaction. This could be a sign of increasing paranoia. She was at an age where Schizophrenia could develop so that's not out of the question. Some pieces of clothing had been tied to the trees and branches at the roadside.
I wouldn't be surprised if she developed a serious mental illness starting from before her departure that worsened as she travelled across the country. She could have developed paranoia and intentionally wrecked her vehicle in an attempt to "fool someone following her" and walked away confused and disoriented.
Throughout all of this, of course I worry about the kitten.
I had vaguely heard about this one in the past but recently have been reading more on it. It's kind of bizarre.
