Nadine Lashandra Stanley passed away on 02/15/2017 in the Emergency Room, Lutheran Hospital. where she was transported from Cuyahoga County Jail

CLEVELAND, Ohio ? An inmate has died after being rushed to the hospital from the Cuyahoga County Jail.

Authorities identify the inmate as Nadine Stanley, 37.

The county says corrections officers saw the woman in some kind of medical distress and took her to Lutheran Hospital, where she died.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.

Records show Stanley had been locked up for a pending drug case.

I, too, am curious Red Crab. Ugh, the stories of lack of medical treatment. And then what we see in OITNB, too, right? I know it's fiction but still.

I have mixed emotions over her daughter's comments. Is she grief-stricken? Over-stressed with being pregnant?

Brings up my feelings about Gofundme. I used to go to wakes/funerals/viewings armed with cash or a check to deposit in that slot underneath the guestbook.

Now GFM sometimes asks us to prepay. Which is fine. But maybe my payday isn't until 2 weeks. I don't know. But I doubt this is how anyone wants to be remembered. And because of Nashila's comment, I'm turned off from helping and I don't know them. Sad But I'm not who the daughter is angry with and she has every right to express her frustration.

I wrote the above comment without any knowledge of how much hurt Nadine's daughter may be experiencing or how many times she and her family have helped others. The daughter clearly is in dire need of help and I'm sorry to hear that she's not receiving help from the people show should be helping her the most. My heart goes out to the daughter and to Nadine, rip.

She is probably very young, and she lost her mother (who she probably thought would help her with the baby). She doesn't have any brothers or sisters to help her, and she had to deal with everything herself.

I don't agree with what she said, and I don't know if she asked anyone for help (financially), but she doesn't say she blames strangers for not giving to the GFM. I think she feels let down by family and friends. She's hurt, so she's lashing out.

You're right, Angiebla. And I'm sure there is history where she and her mother have helped others.
