I love the bathroom countertops, just a little nervous about marble but it's sealed well so hopefully it's ok. I could never put marble on the kitchen countertop, I enjoy cooking too much and I am not always a neat cook, lol.
We went yesterday and found a replacement slab for the kitchen. The original and this one are labeled as two different names, but I am convinced that one of them is mislabeled and they are the same. Anyway, whatever they are, I am happy. I actually think I like the 2nd slab more than the 1st.

but it took my husband forever to put it up, and he put a shit ton of holes in the wall, so im going to leave it.

I got a cute wrought iron wall decor (my fav kind!) and had my hubby and son put it up above my couch....but I feel like it's too small and I need one that is bigger there, then I can put that one on the other wall. However, they are so expensive! The one I found is $90 so I asked for it from my dad for xmas. The way he mentioned it, I don't think it wants to spend that much for a, as he put it, "line on my wall". Boo.
If anyone sees one that is like 54 inches long let me know, ha.

I will take one today and post Monday. I am also debating on taking down the 2 plants I have hanging in the corner by it, as I feel like with the wall hanging it may be too much. But I have a weird phobia of having "too much" hanging on walls/around my house. I have been there almost 10 years and I just started putting some stuff up. Maybe that's why it feels like too much, I am used to hardly anything being on my walls lol.

We felt like we looked at a ton of slabs before we found one we loved for the kitchen. When they cut it too short it broke my heart. Then we had to look again, but luckily I had found out that there is a stone almost identical in color and variation to the one we picked. We still had to drive to Daytona to approve it though, and now he's telling me that even with two slabs they can't do the coffee bar in the same stone. We had originally picked a piece of remnant that worked with the big slab to do the coffee bar, but since we now have all this granite I thought for sure they could do it. It's just an odd size and he's telling me it won't fit. I told him to work on it.
If he can make it fit, I am willing to pay him (a reduced amount) for the 2nd slab that I didn't need. If it can't fit then he can take the mis-cut slab back and eat it. I really like the guy, I have used them for three previous jobs at rental houses and the original coffee bar here, but I am tired at this point. I haven't talked to him today, so maybe he came up with something over the weekend.

Oh, they screwed up and I don't know how. They are confused about it too. They brought a machine out the week before and it scanned everything. It's like those machines that scan crime scenes and measures precisely. When they put the island slab on it was obviously several inches short on the overhang. It doesn't even cover the actual edge of the cabinet.
Nic, what do you regret not making them do on your kitchen? It sucks when you don't get what you paid for/want.

I will pay to use some of the old slab on the coffee bar if we can fit it, but it will have to be cut out of the island and apparently the width is wrong or something and it's just not fitting.
On top of that we are having tile issues for our backsplash. We have the kitchen to do and the small kitchenette in the new addition. I found two different tiles I liked and my husband liked them too. I was stoked that we found something that worked on the first try. I calculated what we needed and placed the order for the kitchenette and then attempted to place the order for the kitchen but it kept failing. I even called customer service and went into the store. They show that they have it in the warehouse, but no one can get it to order. They said they will have to put in an IT ticket and see if there is a way to fix it, so I gave up on it. It's been a week now with no resolution. I have literally brought 20 different samples to my house in the past week. My kitchen looks like a tile showroom.
This is what we are using on the kitchenette. It looks really washed out on the website but it's a nice light beige marble with grays and blues. The countertop is beige.

I really like the tile and hope it is just an IT issue going on.
Probably just stuff they wouldn't have even done. There is a spot where they put the backsplash to the left of the fridge, and the paint is all off (it's a tan color, and there is a big splotch of white there). There is also a space next to the dishwasher, almost like they cut it oo big and the dishwasher was smaller than they thought - you can see inside and it looks yucky. My hubby said he would look into doing something with those, but I had my kitchen done over 2 years ago, yet here we still are
