That's usually the case. So that family aren't the ones to find them. Unfortunately, hotel and motel workers come across this a lot. My Brother worked security for The Venetian in Vegas and sadly had to discover someone who had offed themselves using a shotgun in one of the rooms. It's traumatizing.

That's so sad....unfortunately, no matter where you go to take your own life, SOMEONE is going to see that. Unless you go out into the middle of nowhere, but then the family will think you are missing and agonize over finding you. So, no matter how you do it, someone is going to be traumatized.
