BWS it's around 45 to 50 degrees at night and gets to about 65 degrees during the day right now. It's definitely cool enough out for a jacket this time of year, but it varies. Sometimes we get an Indian Summer where it gets back up in to the 80s with humidity.

Rule of thumb in Ireland when travelling to here is to bring rain gear and dress in layers. It could be really cold in the morning, but you could end up sweating your tits off by the afternoon and then back to rain and wind an hour later. Good, sturdy shoes for walking and hiking. Don't bother with an umbrella, the wind will destroy it

Our family has told us over and over about the importance of layering. I am not a layering type, so I will need to figure out how to best do it without looking like a mummy.

BostonBabe73 did I read that you are from Ireland or are you an American expat living there? My mum was born n raised in Belfast and that side of my family lives there or in County Antrim anyway. Thinking it’s about time I got my passport from the ROI since I automatically have citizenship. I love seeing how the Irish are not taking any crap from magat tourists as they should not lolz

A little late reply but yea they even did a South Park episode to parody them basically the latest craze from Asia that every American child must have right now at this point I think the fad is over, helps to have nieces and nephews to keep one in the loop of what’s hot and what’s not lolz

Those things are so stupid looking. At least to me. They are in no ways as cool as the trendy stuff I grew up w/ like for instance the Pet Rock or the stripy socks with toes.

@Tupelo YES! I now live in Ireland, but I'm American. My Husband is Irish and we moved back here 4 years ago. If you have the ability to get your passport, do it. And start soon because the backlog is horrendous. I applied for my citizenship beginning of December last year and they won't even get to my application to take the first look until a couple of months from now. Then they'll ask for additional documents (they always do) and it will go to the back of the line for another 6-8 months. It's been taking well over a year or two to get anywhere with immigration here and that's with a pretty straight forward case.

I already have citizenship by virtue of my mum being born and raised there and I have her birth certificate and my birth certificate lists her maiden name and her place of birth. It will probably just take a lot of time but there is a website I noticed and there’s a consulate here in NYC if I need them

I can guarantee that Tupelo didn't get the passport yet because they're SO backlogged. For instance, I applied for my citizenship back at the beginning of December and they STILL haven't even looked at it yet.
