I just recently found out that my co-worker who has been working here for a year is about to make more money than I am. I've been here for two years. One of the reasons for her raise is she goes above and beyond her desk duties. WTF?! I am constantly coming into work behind this girl and cleaning up after her messes. I'm right now working on an email to ask for a raise, because this is fucking ridiculous!

I sent pics to my boss yesterday of all the things she didn't do. He said, "I'll have a talk with housekeeping." I wrote back, "I thought this was front desk's responsibility? At least that's what I was told and it's what I've been doing." He said, "I'll handle it." We'll see.

My husband and I did have a talk today. His boss wants to make sure that nothing will interfere with him being able to work 9 am to 6 pm, M-F. This may mean that I can only work at my job on the weekends. My husband makes more than me and carries the insurance.

I don't mind her getting a raise though after my first year, I received $1 raise. She's getting $2.50. I would really like to know what she does that goes above and beyond her job duties, because she doesn't even do her job duties. I know she offered to update the employee handbook and she wore a dress and heels to her "give me a raise" meeting. I can't believe they were that impressed that she dressed up. Apparently, they have a really low threshold of what will impress them.

He said he'll ask the owner, but the owner normally doesn't give more than a $1 raise. This would put me fifty cents less than my co-worker. I'm ready to find a new job especially since this job has me working late at night.

No, I get off at 11 pm. Now that my husband has a full-time job where he has to be available 9 am to 6 pm, I offered to work overnights so there's no scheduling conflict, but they said no.

You're right. And my manager is so passive aggressive. If someone does something she thinks is wrong, she'll call us out, but she doesn't do something like replenish the paper towel holder, I don't say anything.

What about just walking in to places you frequent anyways? Any companies or stores that you buy from or support? Sometimes a walk in introduction in a place that you already like can end up in a job.
