New details surrounding the death of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro were shared by California officials during a press conference on Wednesday.

"The filing in this case reflects our belief that baby Emmanuel was abused, a victim of child abuse over time and that eventually because of that abuse, he succumbed to those injuries," said Riverside County District Attorney Michael Hestrin.

Hestrin also reiterated on Wednesday that they have an idea as to where the remains of Emmanuel are located, but would not provide any specific information.
Hestrin also took aim at the judge who gave Jake a suspended sentence after he entered a guilty plea to a charge of willful child neglect in 2023.

"In 2018, Jake Haro with his ex-wife were prosecuted for child abuse as well as child neglect, cruelty. That child was also an infant and that came to the courts in 2023. We charged various felony crimes — child abuse, child cruelty — and our indication, or what we wanted out of the case was prison. We believed it was a prison case and that Jake Haro should have gone to prison," Hestrin said.

YES HE SHOULD HAVE. If anyone watched that video I posted earlier on in the thread, they would know why and it's BEYOND ME why neither him or his Ex did any jail time for it. The child is on life support for the rest of her life because of them. She's a vegetable.

Disclaimer: I mistook his ex for his current wife who is the mother of Emmanuel, but obviously this woman ALSO had a history of abuse and neglect on her own children. Either way, WHY WERE THESE PEOPLE ALLOWED TO KEEP ANY CHILDREN?!

I know that some people call it Eugenics to say this, but there's a huge difference between sterilizing people in order to prevent a certain race to procreate and sterilizing people with a history of this kind so that they cannot have children again. No matter the race. They should not be allowed to procreate ever again.

I simply don't understand how this was allowed to happen and why abusers are allowed to continue forth without any recourse. The lives of children...especially children of color and those with disabilities...simply do not seem to matter.

The parents of 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro pleaded not guilty Thursday to murder charges as the search for their child continues, three weeks after he was reported missing in Southern California.

Jake and Rebecca Haro entered their pleas at the Riverside Hall of Justice. They are also accused of making a false police report.

Give me five minutes with those two rotting shitholes. They'll spill their guts and scream for their parents before I was done with them.

At seven months your child knew you by your voice, by your face. He explored things with his little hands, and could begin verbalizing with sweet little baby language.

AND YOU TOOK HIS LIFE AWAY.

There is no "it was an accident", you lying fucks. When babies are born, THEY BECOME THE FOCUS. And (for everyone else out there reading this), YOU DO EVERYTHING YOU FUCKING CAN TO KEEP THEM SAFE, HEALTHY AND LOVED.

BUT you two degenerate fucktards failed miserably at that, and now that precious child is gone forever. You were his world, and you didn't give a shit. I hate you, and I sincerely hope you both suffer before you die. I hope his cries haunt your dreams, and that good sleep evades you until you enter the long slumber.
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Go fuck yourself.

THIS right here is exactly why we cannot allow you to go away again. You say exactly what we are all feeling.

My son's girlfriend went to change my granddaughter in their car (we were out to lunch) and brought up this case. She mentioned how she was paranoid about changing her daughter in the car because of this story. I'm like, you know it wasn't true and the parents killed her?!?! So yeah, be careful but that whole abduction thing isn't common so I wouldn't worry..

The father of Emmanuel Haro, the 7-month-old in California who has been missing since August, has pleaded guilty to the baby's murder.

Jake Haro, 32, pleaded guilty in court on Thursday to all charges, including assault causing bodily harm to a child "resulting in the death of said child" and filing a false police report, according to court records.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel's mother, 41-year-old Rebecca Haro, pleaded not guilty to an amended complaint on Thursday, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Nov 3. It remains unclear what is in the complaint, according to Los Angeles ABC station KABC.

Jake Haro's sentencing is also scheduled for Nov. 3.

Jake Haro, the father of missing 7-month-old Emmanuel Haro, was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to the baby's murder.

He was also sentenced to over six years in prison for other offenses, to run consecutively.

He is ineligible for probation because he was already on probation for severely abusing another child, the judge said while handing down the sentence on Monday.

Emmanuel's mother, 41-year-old Rebecca Haro, pleaded not guilty to an amended complaint in October, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Monday. It remains unclear what is in the complaint.

The Press-Enterprise reports that on Friday, Rebecca Haro was sentenced in Riverside to 12 years and eight months in prison after pleading guilty to child endangerment causing great bodily injury, involuntary manslaughter and accessory after the fact. Authorities said they believed Haro knew or suspected her son, Emmanuel, was being abused by his father and failed to act.

Haro didn’t address the court during her sentencing hearing.

The plea comes after Haro’s husband, Jake, was sentenced last year to more than 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

I was just coming to post about her pleading guilty, but you beat me to it. I personally feel she should have been given more time.
