I think they have only found remains (sometimes as small as a thumbnail) for about 60% of the victims.
I lean towards her being killed the night before, by someone else.

I definitely don't think she faked her own death. I think she had too many demons to have successfully stayed hidden this long.
She was living what might be considered a high risk lifestyle before she disappeared, so I don't think she faked her own death. Either she was murdered or she died in one of the towers (less likely).

https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedM..._september_10/I did a deep dive into this once and this is the conclusion I came up with: she did shopping (IIRC bedding/household items) and spent the night with the woman spotted at the store with her, possibly on the Jersey side (there is a train station near where she was last seen). The shopping was not found because it was left at the other woman's house (probably bought and left in anticipation of repeat visits). They took the train back into town planning to have breakfast together at the North Tower where the woman worked but Sneha wanted to drop by her apartment first to change out of her contacts, which she had complained about the previous day, but when the elevator took too long to reach the lobby, she bailed to make her appointment.
She was in the elevator on the way up the North Tower when the plane crashed, was trapped and later perished there when the tower came down. Her friend perished also (there was indeed at least one person of the right demographic who died in that tower that day), and when that second person's apartment was cleared no one thought anything of whatever Sneha left there. The timing works out about right (depending on how accurate the timestamp on the videotape at her building was) for Sneha to have reached the tower and been on the way up when the plane hit, to make a hypothetical 9 a.m. breakfast appointment.
Highly speculative to be sure, but it explains everything.

It seems like she definitely has an idea of a person in mind for Sneha's 'friend'. It does sound plausible though compared to the idea of Sneha running to the towers to help after the fact.
Right. The running into the towers to help never seemed right to me, but this theory seems like something that could have happened that day.
I had to do some reminder reading, but the clerk said that her companion at the store was another Indian woman that was about the same age as Sneha. If that person exists among the other victims, I would think that would be fairly easy to isolate.
I feel like her husband did a real disservice to this case by trying to whitewash her reputation. Her shopping trip footage is in this video. As some other Reddit poster says, her husband is the one who says that no one was with her after watching all the CCTV. Would he admit it if he did see someone???
