The Mt. Dora Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff?s Office on Monday returned to the Mt. Dora home where a missing mother of three once lived.

Investigators were seen gathered at the Strathmore Circle home in the Lancaster subdivision near County Road 44. The driveway was cordoned off by crime scene tape.

Police said Nicole Baldwin, 41, was last seen Nov. 2 by her 20-year-old daughter, Alish Baldwin, the night after they celebrated her birthday. She was reported missing three days later.

Her daughter, 20-year-old Alisha Baldwin, says the night she went missing was just like any other night.

"When I last saw her she was in my brother?s room with my brother. It was kind of a normal night," she said.

Nicole was at her home off County Road 44 in Mount Dora. She was wearing a pink nightgown and no shoes.

Police say all of her personal belongings like her purse, wallet, car and Apple Watch were found at the home.

I have so many questions. The article doesn't go in to a lot of detail at all. One of them I can't access from here because of restrictions.

She was reported 3 days after being last seen. There's a lot that can happen in three days. Was she married? Was she seeing someone? When I see that everything was left behind, it points to two possible things. She left and self deleted or someone kidnapped her and possibly killed her. I wonder if she was despondent over anything.

More then happy to join the search party. Im a little confused on a few things or maybe im missing something. She was at her daughters party. Her daughter left. Did she drive to the celebration and who stayed behind? Daughter comes back after being gone for 2 days? Comes in the house. Sees her moms purse, watch, cell and everything else and calls police saying she was missing. Her moms car is gone and returned by moms boyfriend 2 days after daughter was home? Who saw her in her nightgown and slippers? Im not getting it.

Yeah, it's fairly obvious that if what they're saying is true that he knows something. The police are keeping the details close to the vest so I'm assuming that they suspect him and are trying to figure out how he's involved. That's usually the case when they do this kind of thing. She's obviously not coming back after over a month and nobody seeing her. Something happened.

Husband of missing Mount Dora mom arrested in Homeland Security case

The family of Nicole Baldwin, the missing Mount Dora mother, confirmed to WESH 2 that her husband was taken into custody Thursday. But not in connection with her disappearance.

Brett Baldwin was booked into the Marion County Jail with the violation listed only as a federal hold for the U.S. Marshals for "possession of obscene material."

The home of a volunteer who organized searches for missing woman Nicole Baldwin was raided by police last week, according to a local news report.

Terri Rogers led several searches across Lake County in central Florida for Baldwin, who hasn't been seen since she left her home on Nov. 2 without her belongings.

Last Friday, the Mount Dora Police Department executed a search warrant on Rogers' home and confiscated several electronic devices, according to News 6 Orlando.

"As soon as I opened my door, they all just flooded in," Rogers told the local news outlet. "I’ve not done anything wrong. All I’ve done was given my time, and my emotions, and my heart and soul for looking for Nicole."

The Mount Dora Police Department confirmed the raid in a statement.

"On Friday, January 19th, the Mount Dora Police Department executed an investigative search warrant related to the continued search for missing person Nicole Baldwin. The status of the investigation is ongoing."

Rogers, who has said she doesn't know Baldwin, told News 6 that police believe she's withholding information. She explained the situation is eerily similar to one that she went through in her own family.

"My niece disappeared going on eight months in a very similar situation out of Polk County, and her name was Tonya Whipp," Rogers told News 6.

The husband of a missing Mount Dora woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after being arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material.

Baldwin was arrested in December 2023. Officials said Baldwin had thousands of files depicting CSAM, primarily of young children.

Baldwin was indicted on Dec. 20, 2023, and a superseding indictment was returned on Feb. 6, 2024.

In April 2025, Baldwin was found guilty of one count of possession of CSAM and three counts of receiving CSAM.

The search warrant for Baldwin's home was executed after his wife, Nicole, went missing on Nov. 2, 2023.

In April 2024, police updated the search for the missing mother, calling it a homicide investigation. Brett Baldwin has not been named a suspect, arrested or charged with any connection to his wife's disappearance.

Mount Dora police came up empty-handed after a new search for a Lake County mother.

Nicole Baldwin, 41, was last seen by her daughter at the family’s home off County Road 44 in Mount Dora on Nov. 2, 2023.

Police have searched multiple properties and bodies of water, and on Thursday, police searched an area of Lake County, but did not provide exact details.

In April of 2024, a homicide investigation was opened into her death, and three months later, in July, investigators announced an award as they sought leads, and said they believe her disappearance was a result of foul play.

Areas across Central Florida have been searched over the years, with volunteers, and according to the Mount Dora Police Department, even a cadaver otter helping earlier this year.

A $10,000 reward remains in place for information in the case.

Mount Dora police are investigating a drained Deltona stormwater pond in connection with the ongoing search for Nicole Baldwin.

In a news release shared Tuesday, the Mount Dora Police Department said detectives had developed new leads with help from law enforcement partners, including the FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the State Attorney's Office, the Lake County Sheriff's Office, and the Florida Department of Transportation.

"Throughout the investigation, detectives have examined multiple areas of interest where potential evidence was believed to exist; however, those searches did not yield results," the release states. "Mount Dora Police Department investigators, in coordination with FDOT personnel, are currently draining and sifting a four-acre retention pond in Deltona, located on DeBary Avenue between Enterprise Road and North Road."

WESH 2 News went to the pond Tuesday afternoon, which could be seen drained to the mud.

Chief Gibson explained that his department is working with the FBI, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Lake County Sheriff's Office to follow leads, one of which brought them to the pond.

"At this point, we've not found anything that may help us with the case," Gibson said.

He added that the search at the pond is not over yet. They have a few days of searching to go.

"We still have quite a bit more to do," he said.
