Anytime someone deliberately turns their phone off (not just silence it, but completely turns it OFF), and a crime is committed at the same time, my radar goes off. I am no detective but I'm sure they have checked all the other cell phones and alibis of all the other suspects during that time frame. You don't have an alibi. Do you?
I don't know where this 1:30 to 4:30 time frame came in, but I think it could have even happened after 4:30. You place yourself at the funeral home, you stay after every one else. You're pointing fingers at the people that work at the funeral home, yet you say the casket was broken somehow. A funeral home employee should know how to open and close caskets. Now you're pointing fingers at the family. I'm pretty sure the family was ok with Julie being cremated, because, I am guessing that they made the arrangements! Didn't they?

According to my friend (who knew julie), she was a small person, less than 100 lbs. I don't know how accurate this is. However, I can see how someone could walk right into that place and take a body.
What happened to the car you had at the time julie went missing? is it totaled? have the police searched it? What happened to your cell phone? Don't tell me you don't have an app to find your lost cell phone. As tech savvy as you think you are? Funny how things go missing around you, Bill.

You know, I really had some compassion for this guy in the beginning. Even when he was word vomiting, I still felt sorry for him. At this point I'm confused. I don't know if he has some kind of mental illness and I should still feel compassion for him, or, if he's just a complete asshole. Or, does he have a mental illness with a case of assholery?
I'm still having a really hard time believing he could have pulled this off though.

I try to have compassion for mentally ill people who act like assholes, because I know oftentimes they can't help it, and I do think there's something going on mentally with this guy. But if he stole her remains ... and obviously I believe he did ... what he is doing to the family is so cruel that I just feel no compassion for him at this point. And he's said so many shitty things about the family here.
On the subject of why he's so quiet ... I think after the recent visit by LE to his parents' house, he might have actually hired a real lawyer (as opposed to the many make-believe lawyers he's been consulting with along with his make-believe PI), and the lawyer told him to STFU. I've also thought for a while that he's evading the authorities, which is why LE showed up at his parents' house again.
I figure he's lawyered-up and they told him to shut-up. I have seen some activity on FB, so I'm fairly sure he's not in custody. Plus, I've been checking every couple of days to see if he's been picked up, however, people can be held a very long time during questioning before they are actually processed. Now, Bill has stated he's staying in Austin, now. There's an old address associated with his dad (in Austin), which is a storage unit. I was thinking about how Bill keeps pointing everyone in the wrong direction. The riddle in Spanish suggested Julie were buried near Mission Park. So, to me that means she's not buried. Whomever has her, this is my guess.... has her in a freezer in a storage unit or house. That is just my guess. Probably wrong, but I thought I would throw it out there.
I stopped feeling sorry for him after seeing the transcript of the phone calls and what's he's spewed out of his gob since. He's been playing the victim far too much. It's been reminding me of the narcissistic, manipulative and emotionally abusive ex-boyfriend I used to have...only much, much more idiotic.
Yeah, the dude is an empathy vampire and has been trying to make this death 100% about himself. It's super gross.

It's definitely hinky that he had his phone off during that time. Not only that, but in his story (even he calls it a "story," making it even more suspicious) he says, "I shut my phone off again," but he never told us when he shut it off the first time. That part of the "story" is missing.
Like you, the 1:30-4:30 p.m. time frame has always bothered me a little bit, even though it seems the funeral home knows the back doors were unlocked during that time. Someone ... maybe Katherine ... suggested he sneaked in during those hours and hid until everyone else was gone. I suppose that's possible, but I don't know how he'd get back out without tripping the alarm.

Intriguing, I hope this doesn't turn into a cold case, no pun intended. Lots of intelligent people on this forum, my only frustration is when potential 'perps', even when they are being dickheads, get temporarily banned or smited into silence, wouldn't it be better to fake believing them, and give them enough rope to hang themselves with? Ultimately this tactic might help her family find peace and closure, it seemed the more heartbroken felt he was being believed, the more he had to say, revealing some disturbing inconsistencies in his 'stories.' I haven't checked out this place in a while, but now I realise why it had me captivated the last time I was here. Personally, I think the answer to this mystery could swing either way, Dick Tips (FFS! What kind of wanker would actually choose that for a name?), sounds like he has enough money to buy half the town, as well as persuade cops to see things 'his way', corruption among LE isn't anything new, on the other hand, I loved reading Beth For Justice's analysis into Bill's psyche, I think she was spot on, I thought Bill would respond to her comment, but he either missed it, or, more likely, avoided it. The phone going missing and the car getting wrecked around the time of the disappearance, I don't believe in coincidences, I wonder if the police have checked the vehicle out and found anything in there? Bill definitely is a creepy guy, but I'm on the fence at the moment as to what the conclusion, if any, of this mystery will be. Condolences to her family, they deserve peace and closure, I hope they get it.

Do not let Bill fool you he is a true narcissistic person. No matter what anyone says he will make it turn the way he wants. He was abusive I have no doubt, obsessed I also have no doubt. In his own mind he can not and will not accept she left him even in death. So it would truly make sense to me and not shock me that he did take her. Has her some where and gets pleasure out of telling her she can never leave him. He also gets pleasure out of people not knowing and having the ability to somehow in his mind continue to isolate her from everyone and everything. Because in his mind she can not and will not leave him no matter what. She passed may she rest in peace. If she had not passed before him, he would be a thread of obsessed lover murder suicide. But now in his mind how dare she go on her own. How dare she go before he decided. He is the true narcissistic person that gets obsessed with a person and has to take control. You will never convince him of anything different. His way is the only way, because in his mind she has to love him. He does have her and in his mind he has her because that is the way it should be. He will decide when it it time. Unless he simple make one error which is possible because he is not all that he thinks he is.
