While I don't know the timelines logistics, I do know that it's muuuuuuch more likely that a mortuary that has its own crematory would accidentally cremate a body and cover it up than the possibility someone stealthily broke in and stole it.

I mean, she was there for a whole day before being discovered missing, right?that is more than enough time for an accidental cremation.

The crematory is not at the funeral home. It's across town.

Doesn't matter. It's a five minute drive. I mean, if they had someone else scheduled, or if some overexcited intern misread a schedule, boom, it's done within a few hours. It's not like they had to coordinate with seven different agencies to get it done.

Jon, I really feel for you and your Family. I really do. But the funeral staff had unlimited access to her body, not Bill. To not even consider that something happened there would be foolish. By the sounds of it, they haven't even investigated anyone from there. I just think looking at EVERY possibility closely is more productive.

Funeral homes make mistakes. I don't get how you guys are so sure that they didn't. That seems far more likely than someone having her body.

Every scenario was investigated by SAPD. Every employee took and passed a polygraph. Even Dick Tips and his wife. Bodies are moved in caskets. Yet a broken casket was left behind.

I didn't see where it was reported that every employee took the lie detector and passed. I'm not saying it's not true, but that we're only left with taking your word for it.

Not everything is reported to the press. If you don't believe me, that's fine. But I'm not the one who has been constantly lying to you.

I too think that it was a crematory/funeral home error and she was accidentally cremated. No business is taking the blame. I think it would be very impossible to not only steal her body but also to hide it.
I hope and pray her parents and siblings and friends can draw together and celebrate her and keep her memories alive. Cry, laugh and share and heal enough to go on every day. She loved her family and friends and she knew you loved her too. We would all be blessed to go, when it's our time, surrounded by the people who love us.

And I hope this young man will step away and carry on with his own life and let these poor people grieve and heal.

But you don't know what they did or didn't investigate, so how can you say they haven't investigated the people from the funeral home?

This is exactly what I was coming here to say. The casket was broken into by someone who didn't know how to properly open it, and that is one of the details that Bill has wanted us to shrug off from the beginning. In fact, to me it seems suspiciously important to him that we forget that detail.

I was also going to point out that she would have been transported in the casket, not just tossed into a hearse.

I agree. I have a hard time buying that he successfully snagged her body and has been able to hide it all while under investigation. Jon, you mentioned telling the funeral home to keep an eye on him and he somehow STILL got in there and took her body? They seriously suck at their job. And then he managed to stash her body (and continues to) where no search party, police officer or investigator can find her, all while being watched.

It's not logical. He's weird, yup. But not stealthy or smart enough to pull it off.

I don't want to cause you any pain, Jon. But I'm also not understanding how Bill was not only allowed at the funeral, but to Eulogize Julie if he was so hated by her Family and friends. I'm just not understanding this.

I really do hope you find her and have closure. And I really hope you don't center on only one possibility because I feel like you may miss important clues that way.

I'm not able to remove or edit my posts so I'm reposting. I amend my post about. I'd forgotten about the broken casket. That's a bit of a game change. But I do stand by the rest of my words.

Have they looked at ALL staff? Even cleaning people? Wouldn't be the first time a weirdo got in under the radar. Would explain the broken casket and with not being watched, rather easier to hide her.

My dad didn't want him at the funeral and certainly didn't want him to speak. But my mom and I thought it was the right thing to do. Given he was a part of her life at one point. We felt that the past was the past and he deserved to grieve with everyone else. Again, regrettable.

As far as stashing her. All he'd have to do is buried her somewhere. And remember, this is Texas. We have a lot of open land.

On one of our searches, we found a body of a woman who had been murdered and her body was burned.

Can we stop referring to Bill as just some kooky weirdo? Even if he has nothing to do with taking her body, he is enjoying the attention he gets here but mostly fucking with her family and their emotions.

He's a narcissistic prick. Period. I don't care how innocent he may be, I have no sympathy for him simply because of how he behaves here.

But, respectfully, what are the chances that Julie has this froot loop who is obsessed with her ... someone who drives by her house asking her to peek through the blinds so he can look at her and steals things from her unlocked vehicle to keep as mementos ... yet a different kook comes along and steals her body? That seems unlikely, imo.

The funeral home employees thought Bill left. That's why they were no longer watching him. The police believe her remains were stolen between 1:30 p.m. when her funeral ended and 4:30 p.m. when the workers locked up. To me, that means one or more of those garage doors or other back doors were left unlocked while the funeral home was still open (bad move on the part of the funeral home, yes). I don't think it would be that hard for him to sneak around back and steal her. Workers in the front of the building wouldn't be able to see (or hear) what was going on back there. And knew exactly where her casket was located when he left.

I understand that people hide bodies all the time, but not While being watched and investigated. They searched his parent's property and searches were performed in places that were significant to him as well as in general. The Woman who's body was burnt, was her killer being watched while he was hiding her body?

But according to his story, Bill has many hours unaccounted for between the time he left the funeral home and the time they discovered her missing around 24 hours later. He admits to being alone for much of that time. They weren't watching him then because they didn't know she was missing. He claims he was sleeping late into the afternoon Sunday when his mom called and told him Julie was missing. Sounds to me like he was up all night doing something.

I'd love to know where his phone was pinging in those hours!

There was roughly 24 hours in between the end of the service and when she was discovered missing. Plus he had a week to plan it. Bill wasn't located by authorities until Sunday night (8/16).

But they did search areas that they thought he might hide her as well as the general area. Not to mention, if he's so obsessed, he'd likely go back to visit her, right? He was being watched at that point. Wasn't the whole purpose was so he could still visit her?

    Sorry for the double post.

Look, all I'm saying is that there's a chance he took her. But also a chance he didn't. So is it wise to spend 100% of your time only looking at him? What if he is innocent? You're basically letting the real culprit get away with it. There's nothing wrong with keeping an eye on him while you look at other possibilities. Because right now you seem convinced that it's him and not keeping an open mind.

If he knows he is the prime suspect and is being watched, why go visit her. Just wait it out. That's part of the reason I'm on here. I'm not letting it go. He can be content with her never being found but I'm not. He needs to know this will never go away.

Yes, we have searched areas we thought would be special to him. The police have searched many areas. But again there is a lot of open space around here.
