I started looking stuff up and scared myself.
Definitely go to the derm doc Angela, better to know it is nothing than something.
mine never really itches when i get that. i think mine is a combo of living in the desert- hello triple digit heat! -and hot showers..etc.. good luck ang.![]()
That REALLY looks like Poison Ivy/Oak to me.
I get it so bad that I usually end up having to go to the hospital.
One of your neighbors could have been burning, a dog/cat could have run through some and it got on their coat, or it could have been extremely windy outside. You don't have to touch it to get it. Even one of your friends could get around you and have some of it on them----then pass it to you. Posion Ivy/Oak is terrible this year.
Don't scratch. Don't rub your eyes. Go to the dr. if your eyes get puffy or start to swell. A great homemade remedy is a tomato. Cut it in half and rub the tomato on the rash. It helps dry it out. Calamine is also good-but it's pink. Calamine never helped me.
Actually, if you can go to the dr. that would be much better b/c it's already on your face. You do not want poison ivy in your eyes.(if that is what you have)
It looks just like the horrid dry skin I get. I just slather the fuck outta it with lotion for a few days and it goes away.
Random: tomato makes me break out like a mother fucker. Not if I eat it, but if it gets on my skin. The idea of deliberately putting that shit on my face actually made me squirm.
I've had it for over a month. I think if it was poison ivy I probably wouldve gotten it in my eyeballs by now, especially the day I scratched the hell out of it in my sleep. Ugh I hope not haha, I'm looking for a new GP right now because mine is the pits and I really don't want to go to him.
Fleta I thought that's all it was too, but I tried every super face moisturizer I have (and I have a lot) and nada. I'm gonna try neener's advice and skip the cortisone today. The fact that an anti fungal is actually helping really makes me want to die. I'm super fastidious in pretty much every aspect of my life, how the fuck do I have a fungus on my face?![]()
Also: do you guys think that brow shape works for me? hahaha
I like your brows.nnot to thin or to thick. Nice shape.
Yep. Probably not poison ivy. LOL
Could be impetigo. Are you around babies/small children? It's common in kids and that's how adults pick it up. It's bacterial (staph or strep) and treated with antibiotics. If it was me I'd try some over-the-counter bacitracin ointment to see if it helped...sometimes that's all it takes to clear up a mild case. Definitely stop the antifungal stuff.
I recently couldn't find my brow pencil or powder (left makeup somewhere else). In desperation, I used a way too dark powder (can NOT leave the house without eyebrows or mascara minimum)... and got tons of compliments on how pretty I looked that day. Tried it again for the next two days, compliments continued, self-esteem improved. Hmm.... I think I'll stick with this. I am naturally dishwater blonde and have always used a medium-brown pencil/shadow. I dye red/burgundy/maroon and was using an eggplant powder instead this week.
I like the shape and the thickness of your brows. Looks good.
Ang, your brows rule, and I think it looks like my contact dermatitis. One of the agents you are using to treat it is making it worse.
I recently got Zinc and used it on my dog's rash. It dried it out quickly, and it goes on white but if you don't use a lot it will rub in. I used it on a small rash on my arm and it works well. It doesn't look like fungas at all on your face. Anti-fungal cream works for lots of stuff. BTW, your brows look great.
On a side note about eyebrows, the first time I tried to lighten my hair some dye dripped down almost to my eye. Apparently some sat on my eyebrow for awhile because one is now blonde, the other brown.
The more I read this forum I realize many of the women have cool hair colors. I'm staying away from coloring for awhile, but you ladies have me thinking of being radical with my hair for the first time ever. I love hearing about your color combinations, and you are giving me ideas.
That old book I found gave some combinations for masks. I tried two, and they tighten up like no product I ever used. Egg yolk and oatmeal for dry skin, or plain egg whites for diminishing lines. Two I haven't tried; for oily or blemished skin mix brewer's yeast and a small amount of water. For oily or sensitive skin, mix equal parts of wheat germ and yogurt. It also recommends washing face with yogurt (for oily skin) and dried milk with water (for normal to dry skin). This stuff works better than some brand name products I have used, but they can be messy. Plus, it's fun.
I was dreading this, but I have been putting off meeting up with a guy I know because of my hair. The roots are still a bit orange, and after all the color I applied I don't think it would be a good idea to try again. Any suggestions on toner or anything that will remove the reddish/orange tint would be appreciated. Although I'm pretty tan now, my skin tone is fair, but it isn't that nice pale tone that looks so good with dark hair.
I got my hair from orange to a really nice blonde, I used NAK blonde plus shampoo and just left in for about ten minutes every time I washed my hair. I also use Lush Daddy'O shampoo, it's really strong and usually tints my hair a slight pinky/purple if I leave it in for ten minutes.

I've been using some Vit E lotion, but it seems to make my face look a little oily.
Yes! More Lush stuff! I'm addicted to it. I use Celestial face moisturiser and I looooooove it. Plus it smells heavenly.
It's pretty intense, so only for night time. They have a pretty matte moisturiser, Enzymion that I use during the day.

Help! I'm so clueless when it comes to hair. I haven't had the time or energy to sit for hours at the salon and my hair is a mess. I'm going for a final prebaby appointment on wed and need to do something with my hair. It's long and straight and dyed a red brown. The colour is ok I guess but I want to know what's 'in' in the hair world. I like the two toned ends look but is this outdated already? I have also grown my bangs out but not sure re style? I don't want to go short.
I like this idea!
And I would personally stay away from the two-toned (I'm assuming you're referring to ombr?.) - I think it's on it's way out fairly soon as I'm seeing it less and less. Since it sounds like you're ok with your color, I would keep it and see what a difference the layers make first before you change up color.
