You know, he was just walking down the street. Something you or your own kids could do. I'm not sure how you can equate any ass kicking as TM fault, when he was the one approached by someone armed. Truly baffling.
This case is like seeing through glass. It doesn't take a whole lot of logic or deliberation. If your defense in 'waiting for the facts' is supported by "wind noise" you live in a very special world. As far as debates go, basically everything that throws GZ in the dog house has already been posted in this thread, and rehashing information is wasteful and annoying. If you're not interested in going back and reading it, that's your choice - but it makes any "debate" argument you want to use pretty null and void.
Freethinker, if you think this comment comes from someone without a "position" on this case, you're fucking delusional. And as I've said before, anyone pretending not to have a position on this case is a GZ supporter making a horribly fail attempt at hiding in the closet.

Can we please refrain from posting four word reactions to real time trial feed? Not everyone can watch this trial as it airs live, and it makes the thread very confusing and cluttered.

I don't think it is group think as you call it. The facts are simple, had GZ stayed in the car or identified himself instead of skulking around this kid wouldn't be dead. Those are the facts. I freely admit to having an opinion about this case.

It's not your place to call me "fuckin delusional". It seems to be obvious YOU have taken a position. Just because every word I write doesn't point to GZ as bad, means nothing.
If you remember correctly (and you don't) GZ followed, but did not approach TM, the recording clearly states "he's coming towards me", nor was a gun out when they came in contact with each other initially.

I'm also not sure how you equate someone following a pedestrian in a car and getting out of said car as anything short of an approach. I never said his gun was out - I said he was armed. Because he was - since I can remember correctly. There was never any defense from GZ other than he "looked suspicious". Nothing specific that he was doing anything wrong, such as peeking in cars, or going up to house windows.... TM was on the phone (recordings to prove) with nothing but junk food on his person. Where is your evidence to presume he might have been doing anything else?
He also had NONE of GZ's DNA on him after autopsy, so said "assbeating on GZ" is going to be pretty hard to prove. A couple scratches on someones face is no evidence of grave danger.
You really need a massive dose of perspective. God forbid any creep stalk you when you're out after dark.
You can't follow a trial this intense and see-through without having ANY opinion one way or another. If you claim not to, you're lying.
It's sort of hard not to have a position on this case if you actually look at ALL the evidence. Said evidence does not have to be rehashed but suffice to say, a young black man is dead and a Hispanic man shot him after ignoring a request not to follow him. Those are facts and cannot be disputed.
Zimmerman is a liar. Period. That's what I'm basing my opinion on.
And let us not forget he had the gun with a bullet in the chamber. If you aren't looking for trouble you wouldn't have the gun ready to fire.

There are several photos of Zimmerman on the page, and in one of them he appears to be wearing the same orange polo shirt that he donned in his 2005 police mug shot. Zimmerman used the name “Joe G.” on the site, and posted a biography that mentions he grew up in Manassas, Va., had recently opened an insurance business and missed all his friends.
Last month, a Zimmerman Myspace page under the username “datniggytb” was taken down.
The Joe G page includes a missive written in street slang.

The pictures posted on the page including several with an ethnically diverse group of friends. The blog section boasts about having two felonies knocked down to misdemeanors and describes a court battle with an ex-girlfriend. Zimmerman faced two felonies in 2005 for obstructing justice and battery on a law enforcement officer, but the cases were reduced to misdemeanor simple battery, and he was left with no criminal conviction on his record.
Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, confirmed the page was his client’s, and that it was abandoned in 2005.

Well said! There is no doubt in my mind. Zimmerman went looking for trouble on that night, and he found it. And he's now trying to appear as though he was justified in his actions. He wasn't. How can you possibly read the stories on this very site and not realize that not everyone who has a gun has any business with one? If you can then seriously there is no help for you and I truly pray it is never one of your loved ones that runs into one of those gun nuts

Dude...seriously....no RESPECTABLE CCW person or plain jane gun owner EVER EVER carries a gun with a round already in the chamber. I grew up around guns and that is safety lesson #1. Never cock and put a round in the chamber until/unless you plan to use it. Hey...I think I made my point about GZ and his murder of TM...Win Win!
