If GZ had not followed TM, TM would not have had to stand HIS ground and he would not have died that night. But, I do want to hear what evidence is there. Hope it doesn't turn into another Arias trial of dragging the victim thru the mud. I think this jury may find him guilty.

    I like this judge.

I like the judge too, she is no nonsense. I hope she keeps the circus closed.

I was surprised at how openly pissed off at the lawyers she was yesterday.

If one wanted to carry it further, how do we know it was not one of the neighbors yelling out and it got recorded within the call?

It wasn't the first time she has been pissed. She has shown a pattern of not putting up with the bullshit.

I finally caught up on my reading about this case, and I have no doubt that Zimmerman went after this kid looking to pick a fight. Trayvon was defending himself, probably scared of this crazy dude following him around and rightfully feared for his life. Which is why he fought. Zimmerman was probably up in his face bullying him about why he was in the neighborhood, and this kid did what he had to do to defend himself. Unfortunately, Zimmerman had a gun. Racial profiling is what this was.

How in the world did you conclude GZ was in TM's face bullying him? Did you listen to the tape when GZ was on the phone and said TM was coming towards him?

He got close enough to hit him, didn't he? He was probably coming toward him to confront him because Zimmerman was out there stalking him in the rain. I'm quite sure Zimmerman got in his face at the point. Regardless, this wouldn't have happened if Zimmerman had listened to the 911 operator and NOT followed him.

If I am so scared of someone that I call the police, I do not start following them on foot at fucking night. This guy was playing vigilante detective. H would have killed someone regardless, eventually. At least it wasn't an eight year old.

There is the girl that Trayvon was on the phone with who states that she heard an "old man" say to Trayvon, "what are you doing around here" and then she heard what sounded like he got pushed and the phone dropped and cut off. That is one way to know that GZ got in his face bullying him. He could have identified himself from his truck and said, hey I am GZ neighborhood watch, are you staying around here? And avoided the whole damn thing.

Absolutely! GZ just needed to stay in his vehicle and this would have all been avoided.

I know...it is like no one understands that Treyvon was the victim. You can't even walk the streets at night and not get hassled by some freakin wanna-be cop person. I'd defend my ass too if some guy approached me in the dark without stating his intentions.

A flashlight and a voice saying whom he was and asking Treyvon what he was doing there would have been a good start.

It's time to put your thoughts to rest, no matter what you feel. In less than one hour, opening statements begin.
The jury is already sequestered, the helicopters are in the air, the news people are there at the courthouse.
It's a good thing the voice recognition people are banned. If you recall, TM's father initially said it wasn't Trayvon's voice, later changed his story to say it was.
The father is going to make a televised statement before the trial starts this morning.

For those who missed the 1 or 2 minute conference, it was a statement that the trial will start (we know that) and they hope justice will be served. That's all.

This. Why call and then take it on yourself anyway?

Quiet and powerful opening statement by the prosecutor, an eloquent beginning especially how the responder tried to revive Trayvon.

I'm in love with his voice. His opening is powerful.

Zimmerman looks like a sullen teenager who got put in a time out.

This is what I think will do Zimmerman in

    @WildAboutTrial

State explains that #Trayvon had no blood or DNA of #Zimmerman on him.

I never heard about this great piece of evidence in any news coverage. This Prosecutor is so passionate, and if his opening is any indication of how the State is going to try this case, GZ should be shitting his pants.

It was reported on but hard to find. It ruined the narrative the media was trying to create/define.
