Many people have commented on the "fake" crying the convict has done today. I, respectfully, would beg to differ: those tears are real. But, they are not like the tears from the Alexander family, they are tears of regret. I think JA does regret killing him, but not because Travis is gone, regret at what that action has done to her. Regret at the consequences of her action. I have no doubt she wishes she could go back in time, but she doesn't care about the death of Travis, she cares about the fallout of the murder and the impact it has in her.

Jinkosaurus said something very fitting about the victim impact statements, she noted the authenticity of what was said. That word resonated with me - authentic. The Alexander siblings talked about what Travis' death has done to the family as well as to the two individuals. The fallout of his death is like a shockwave from a bomb, it just keeps going. I found it, like all of you, very moving and touching. Authentic.

I still don't forgive them with the crap they have tried to pull. The sex offender attorney who probably is the reason for a lot of the sexual issues in this trial. Or gave Stabby the ideas, esp the pedo claim? And valley girl Jen with her shrink questioning. Gave me a migraine listening to her.
I just don't understand how defense attornies can sleep at night defending some of the criminals they do. I should have a thicker skin perhaps I dunno.

Carrying Napoleon in court would have been just sad and terrible. To see him aged and not with Travis. Like JM said..was he thinking of Napoleon.

I'm glad that JM brought up Naps in Deanna's testimony. I that's what made me tear up first. She got the dog. I think many jurors have dogs they love like us and they will remember Napoleon!

At just after the 33 minute mark, she does that creepy throat thing, which, I have to say, does look like a "throat slash" gesture. Considering she did it after Samantha gave her statement and supposedly stared daggers at Jodi (after the jury was gone), I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jodi was taunting the Alexander family.

Maybe it's a harmless gesture, but I've never seen anyone do that to, say scratch their neck.

I agree. I think if she was smart she would STFU. The jury already doesn't believe her. If she gets up there and acts apologetic, I don't think they're going to buy it. Plus, talking head defense attorneys have said she can't express remorse or responsibility because it will endanger her chance for appeal since she's claiming self-defense. And if she gets up there and is defiant and insistent with continuing their lies? Jury already doesn't believe her, and with the Alexanders' words today, Jodi claiming Travis was abuser still, is not going to fly with the jury.

I think, if she cries at all, it will be because she's scared of being put to death.

The whole fascination she has with her own neck is distracting and discusting = I heard someone on Dr. Drew (w/ a grain of salt but it fits) say it's a sexual thing since there are major veins and such. She did that in the interigation and I couldn't figure out what she was doing. But it made sense? It was before the hair flipping/handcuffs were on. And of course I have seen her do it a lot during the trial. I dunno. Just another specific thing that bothers and grosses me out.

RE: the appeal! I didn't know she couldn't do that! I can't imagine then what she could possibly say to the jury then?

I think Samantha looks so much like Travis to me. She is so pretty.

I sometimes wish DP convicts would be killed the same way they killed. But normal humans couldn't do that to another person.
I wish she could be sentenced to a 'death row' type sentence (solitary, no contact, single cell...etc) IF the jury doesn't give her the DP. The two are so different - LWOP and DP. She can thrive in the first but not the second. Ugh!

Metis was not even aware of this video! It was public and made national news! I can't make that shit up. Richard Speck was taking female hormones. Metis said this was not true. To me, it's more than just their inappropriate court room behavior. Jodi's mom tried to sell the forged pedo letters, to the National Enquirer. She sits in court with a "Domestic Abuse" ribbon on. Even though she knew; she said herself to Flores that when she found out Travis was dead, she asked Jodi "Did you do this?" She knew what Jodi was capable of.

I can guarantee -- and we probably all can say this -- that if one of my exes turned up dead, my mom would not so much as entertain the thought that I had anything to do with it. Jodi's mom knew it right away. She knew Jodi could do it.

Aside from that, the fact that the aunt is now running around on facebook or twitter (maybe both) writing cruel comments about the Alexanders? The fact that this idiot is apparently a member of that horrid JAII site? The one where they posted a picture of a body bag and joked about it? The one where they continue to drag Travis through the mud? Sue Arias apparently likes to immerse herself in that. To me, that is a disgusting excuse for a human being.

It's not that they support Jodi. That's one thing and you could understand a family supporting a loved one, even if they are a killer. But, to do things to demean the victim and his family? Unconscionable.

Anyone associated with Jodi seems to be a lowlife, with the possible exception of her father.

I think the jury seeing her in there almost every day, looking so much like her brother, will really make them think of Travis in deliberations.
She was amazing today as well as Steven. The fallout from his death, I never knew they had these kinds of problems. Makes me all the more sad. This would be a great victory for them ALL!

For those wondering about Sandy Arias statement,
she can not make a "statement". SA is not family of Travis'. Travis is the victim in this case.
SA is the mother to the killer, perp, defendant. She has no rights to make a "victim's statement" under law.
She could be a witness for JAs mitigation, give 'evidence' under oath, but ... the def can't risk it because then JM could cross with all kinds lies JA told and everything SA told the cops about her Stabby. About not having a bad childhood and always making up lies she did for one thing.
