Really unfair to put that gal on the stand, imo.

She does not possess the capabilities to deal with this kind of situation. I'm not sure she's even sober.

Juan will leave her babbling in a puddle of confusion if he attacks. Judge needs to really focus her discretion here.

I am learning so much about trials. I always presumed that victims could say anything. Apparently they cannot and the judge does not want a mistrial.

Metis was spot on. Speck was turned out in prison -- the worst of the worst, the lowest of the low.

His DP was overturned to 1200 years. The video was shot by an attorney in 1988.

Things are much different in Statesville 25 years later...

NC- I thought about the same point regarding her only wiping her nose and not her eyes. This is only my opinion of course, but I thought that maybe she lets the tears from her eyes fall rather than swipe them away as a sympathy ploy. She would wipe her nose of course because that affects her appearance. She'd look disgusting with snot dripping down her face, but tears...a lot of people feel sympathy when they see tears.

Or I don't know what i'm talking about and she's not really crying. I prefer to think that after that she does feel a sliver of remorse.

As for the Jodi crying/not crying debate, we all have our interpretations. For me, I did not see wet eyes. I did not see tears on her face or cheeks. I saw her putting a tissue to her nose, but I never saw her wipe her eyes. If tears were falling, I believe she would've brushed them away with a tissue, or even her hands.

I just don't feel she was crying.

She looks upset, but I didn't see tears.

When the smuggled video came out on youtube, it made national news. Metis did not know about the video. Metis indicated that she knew someone who worked in the jail. My point - google it. It may still be on youtube. Speck died shortly thereafter. I am not claiming to know all about his tens of years in prison. However, that smugged video was real. They did not know it existed. The crime expert - Kurtis bought the rights.

I know... mine posts are screwing up. I am going to google the Speck video. He was totally strung out, had relatively large tits, and was sitting in a chair in women's underwear. It was freaky! Now, seriously, I could not make that shit up.
