She is all about herself and having others see her, so lock her away from her little prison BFF's and she'll go fucking crazy. I kinda looked at the Darryl/Jodi relationship as he was looking for a trophy girlfriend and she was a gold-digger looking for a sugar-daddy. I'm sure Darryl had some actual affection for Jodi, to stay with her for 4 years, but I doubt he loved her. He certainly told her that he was not going to get married again.

Lack of prior criminal record
Difficult childhood or family background
Family and community ties
Lack of intent in Felony murder
Good character prior to murder
Intelligence and education (often times lack of education is a mitigating factor)
Good conduct in prison
If victim's family asks for leniency
Possibility of rehabilitation, will convicted be a danger in the future
Shows remorse, grief

Thank you, I missed that. I wonder what was in the interview that we didn't hear, that Jodi doesn't want publicized?

It's interesting how easily she was able to manipulate all her co-prisoners. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that in the free world, all the females in Travis' life knew something was off with Jodi right away, while it was the men who were fooled for a while. Yet, these prisoners have all fallen for her b.s. hook, line and sinker.

I can only guess that those who rally around Jodi in prison are of a similar stripe; criminals who don't think they did anything wrong; someone else was to blame and they're all innocent victims.

Perhaps, Jodi also tailored her act to her new "audience" and appealed to them in ways that she knew she could manipulate them with.


As to whether the journalist will release what he has after she's sentenced, I'm kind of torn. Journalistic integrity would suggest that if he promised to keep it confidential, then he should. Although, considering we are talking about a convicted cold-blooded murderer here, perhaps it's for the public good to get an insight to her mind and thoughts.




Interesting. I assume he'll go on about how Jodi was so good with his son, blah blah blah. And obviously if she liked kids, she couldn't be a bad person; nevermind that she is a cold-blooded murderer. SMH

It's amazing to me how some of these exes of hers are still under Jodi's spell. Any one of them could've easily found themselves in Travis' place. Lucky for them, Jodi decided they weren't good enough for her; she kept trying to climb the social ladder, and Travis had the lifestyle that none of them could give her.

Although this trial has been a circus in and of itself, I'm kind of curious as to whether Bobby The Vampire Slayer is actually going to put out a book. It would be interesting to hear his take on Jodi and their relationship, because from what little we know so far, it doesn't seem like it would favorable to her.

I don't think Bobby the vampire's book would be anything close to a bestseller.As much as people try to wear her shoes and are in search of "why" those answers will never be found out.I ask myself how could this happen to learn the signs or red flags in my life when I meet someone,kind of a learning observation.To this day I can't get there as to the extent someone would go to get even.People attribute it to evil .....maybe so ....but really prior to her turning to the dark side I know alot of people who are in relationships that are way worse that this one.People try to wrap their head around this to make common sence out of something that doesn't make sence.........Common sence isn't so common.JMO

If she truly is a borderline, isolation is a far worse punishment than anything else. Even if she has an appeal that gets her to LWOP, I'd prefer that she spend at least a decade on death row with the 23 hrs a day on lock down. That would be the best punishment for her.

I think the juror understands that today will be much like a memorial service for Travis -- interrupted by evil, as his life was -- and he dressed accordingly in reverence to the deceased & his family.

The defense will go first when it comes to opening statements, and the defense will also get the last word with a rebuttal closing argument.

The penalty phase is the defense?s opportunity to ask the jury for leniency and present evidence supporting why Arias should be spared from the death penalty. Witnesses may include Arias? friends and family. Arias could also make a statement to the jury pleading for her life to be spared.

Alexander's family members may take the stand for the prosecution to give victim impact statements. The family's statements will likely be emotional as they describe their loss.

After closing arguments, the jury then deliberates for a third time to determine whether Arias should be sentenced to life or death. Their decision must be unanimous. In the case of a deadlock, a mistrial would be granted and a new jury would be chosen for this phase only.
