I really like some of the new posters who have joined because of the Arias trial but for real - you CANNOT tell me that this shit is normal fucking behavior!!! No wonder people sideeye anyone who posted in the thread!!![/QUOTE]

I don't know what lick the rail means. Not sure if I want to know. I think the idea of a "Jodi poetry thread" is ridiculous too.

Or, the guys thought it respectful not to announce the name on HLN and bring the masses to the site.

Any way it went, I'm cool with it. They were great.

What is phrasiology? Is that even a word? I haven't googled. I think HLN lady was making up her own words. I think she was star struck of our boys.
Phrasology is not a word. It's not even close to a word.

I think it involves subway train rails or whatever. Aren't they electrified or something? So you'd be fried real nice if you licked it. And yeah, count me in on the poetry, how many sub threads are we at now?

Actually, the third rail can be referenced in any city that has a subway or an elevated train. There's one in atlanta. One in chicago. They are all over the place, but if you tend to drive in these cities, it wouldnt be common knowledge.

I got so lost in Atlanta once, ended up in a really really bad hood and had to take the Mart to get out of it.

I fell in love while on the train in atlanta, but I was too scared to take his number. He got off the train one stop before the airport.

I touched an electric fence.......TWICE. I was at my uncle's house looking out to pasture. There was a wooden fence and an electric wire up against it. I didn't know about the wire. My cousin was standing near me. I lean up against the fence and wrap my hands around the top rung. It felt like I was kicked in the butt. I let go and turn to my cousin. He's standing there looking at me and I give him the side eye because I thought he kicked me. I turn back around towards the fence and grab it again. Again, it felt like I got kicked in the butt. I swear I could feel my butt cheek lift up. I turned back around towards my cousin and asked him why he was kicking me. He said, "I ain't kickin' you, you holdin' onto the electric fence." I didn't say anything back and just walked away.

I was shocked last summer from touching live wires in a circuit breaker box. It was pouring down rain and pitch dark. I was trying to find breaker to flip and got zapped. My arms and chest felt weird all night. It was a 220 volt (I think that's what it's called. Maybe it was amps. I dunno. I know it was 220 something.) I know it hurt like a motherf'er and I thought I was going to die.

I refuse to lick a third rail, though. lol

I for one, think that is exciting that two of our own made it into the trial and were on NATIONAL tv. Congrats to you both Ian and Denver. Though you were not able to plug the site, you did us proud with your commentary and interviews with the network that I will not name

220 hurt bad enough. I will definitely pass on 750.

Interesting. I was too lazy to google. She seemed like she was having a hard time spitting it out, so I thought she pulled it out of her butt.

It was scary then, but I laugh now. I have no idea how I wasn't injured in any way. I didn't even have marks on my fingers from touching it. I just had the weird feeling in my arms and chest.

Except for Washington DC. DC has a fucking Metro. It's not a god damn Subway. (yes, it's a subway but it's called a metro -damn it! And yes, it has a third rail)

I will acknowledge that is a word when someone says it without sounding like a complete idiot. Thanks to everyone that explained what the third rail is. I was under the impression it was just called a subway rail.

Ummmm..a little bit of both I guess. I used to sit in a cube but our company exploded so I now have a palatial office. Back then, people were sitting on 3 corners so listening to anything out loud was distracting to them. It was then that i employed the headphones
