I expect the jury to deliberate maybe five minutes at the most before finding unanimously that there was cruelty. It's a total no-brainer.
Oh yea i know shes an attention whore, but if there was ever a time she would actually do it, i think that day would be the day
When she was talking to flores about the ninjas arguing about killing her, i think travis was already dead (according to her story)
"Were you crying when you were stabbing him? How about when you cut his throat, were you crying then?"
"The difference between a Stumbling Block and Stepping Stone is the Character of the individual walking the path"
The jurors should be able to come in today with a note for the judge stating that they've already decided the skank's vicious attack was DP eligible and they want to get this the fuck over with...next phase.
I've always felt there was something hinky about Jodi, when telling the Ninja story, saying that Travis said, "I can't feel my legs." I thought that seems like an oddly specific comment to mention.
And apparently I am not alone- check out this blog comment by an RN who works in trauma centers - its pretty compelling -

Good choice! I won't be going either, sounds too gruesome today. Where are the other gals around here, it is odd it is the outnumbered men that actually go. Ian left early this a.m. I hope they let the public have enough seats.
As for the defendant being a good liar, imo she is a smoooooth liar, lies with a straight face and would likely pass a lie detector test. A body language expert likely would be duped if the content were better. In fact, her ability to lie as she has throughout and up to her final interview is one of the things I find most disturbing about her.

I am wondering, was Jodi really in psych ward? Here's my theory.
After the "interview", did JW and JA do the old twin sister switcharoo giving Jodi the opportunity to sneak off thru the desert to coconut's house for some anal? Has anyone checked his shower?
Is the family going to speak today? I am confoozed.
That gives me a sad.Eggtree is totally hilarious, witty, informed humor. We can never have too much of that.
I don't think Jodi would ever kill herself. Threaten it? Sure, on a regular basis, to get attention. Actually do it? I say no way.
I'd bet on that.
I always found that statement hinky as well. I think there is almost always a kernel of truth mixed in with most stories Jodi tells. That comment always struck me as one of the kernals. Partly it was just a gut reaction, but you make a good point about how specific it is. And that blog post from the nurse seems to seal the deal as far as accuracy. Thanks for posting that link.
That also brings me to another question... why is it that Jodi mixes in these kernels of truth in her sea of lies? Almost every story she tells seems to me to have at least a kernel of truth in it. Why does she bother? I am honestly curious. She clearly has no trouble making up endless lies, so what is the point of the kernels of truth? Do they make it easier to remember?

My thought is today is only about proving to the jury that Travis suffered so they can decide the aggravating circumstance of cruelty was met and she is therefore 'eligible' for the DP. Family statements should be in the next phase, where they decide whether she gets DP or proves mitigating circumstances sufficient for the jury to give her leniency, i.e LWOP instead of DP.
She probably thinks that sprinkling it bits of truth makes it more believable.
So, OJ is on HLN right now. I find it interesting that all of the objects thus far (though I've only been watching about 10 minutes) were stated in open court, rather than the constant "Judge may we approach?" that Jodi's DT likes to do. Now granted, I'm somewhat of a newbie trial watcher, but that really stood out to me.
"Well, it's YOUR fog..." - J. Martinez
I think it is easier to lie when you have a bit of truth to pin that lie to. I think part of hers though, is trying to make her lies fit with the evidence she knew was going to come up. She can add bits of truth with out making her look responsible. I hope that makes sense![]()
Karma is only a bitch if you are!
Does anyone besides me remember when Jodi said she and Travis went to see the Human Body Exhibition? It shows the human body musculature in various states, i.e., running, sitting. She also stated she found a website for it that she was on checking it out. That's how she knew where to cause the most damage. For the life of me I can't remember where I heard her describing the entire situation. Does anyone else even vaguely remember that?
Have to laugh, Willmutt and Nurmi are early and sitting in court (they can't wait to get this thing started and get rid of their client) no Juan and no Arias there yet.
