Ya... Hodi is pretty much fucked here!

The murder was cruel and painful, so the Aggravation phase is pretty much a done deal.

Mitigation phase will be a time for family and friends to make their impact statements and this will be VERY emotional. In that lame-ass interview, Hodi used that manipulation tactic of "poor me" saying that her attorneys told her she has no mitigating factors. This is just a lie and, if you notice, she backs away from the direct question of "Kirk Nurmi said that?"
They will use things like her age and how she doesn't have a criminal past, but I think a big focus will be how she might be able to serve other inmates, like teaching a class or helping them with coloring.

No matter what they say on questionnaires, jury members have a tough time handing down the DP. That cannot be an easy decision for anyone and it shouldn't be. I do think they will hand down the DP though, and they will refer to the cruelty of the murder and the overall impact Travis' death has had on his family and friends.

K. after reading that motion, I have a couple of questions. and more confusion.
That motion means she wants any and all information about the witnesses who will be called for Impact statements: Is this part of the trial again like a mini trial? the defense gets to cross examine them? make them LESS credible? they lost a brother ffs, I don't understand.
In the motion it talks of her rights to bring up more information about Travis? she gets to bash him MORE? introduce the fake letters or the nonsense on Geraldo the other night, which, btw, I will never watch. Geraldo is not my favorite "journalist".

The only thing the mitigation could possible be is:
She didn't kill anyone before Travis (that we know of)
She hasn't killed anyone since (other than a few careers)
She has nice glasses (even if they are fake)
She colors as good if not better than most 5 year old (without eating her crayons as far as I know)
She is a fairly good liar (I did say fairly)
*She is an excellent manipulator
She has nice hair (has been used as a curtain many times)
