I am certainly not a mental health professional and I don't even play one on TV. However, I think JA has a lot of shit going on in that head.

Several years ago, I was in charge of a non-public school where all the students had some type of emotional disturbance. I find myself thinking of many of those students in relation to JA and her qualities. I would imagine studying someone like Stabby would be fascinating from a clinical point of view.

There is no doubt that JA and Bundy have a few things in common, but Bundy was a true psychopath and a sexual sadist. Bundy was also incredibly intelligent and a master manipulator; he makes JA look like a novice. Everyone loved Bundy before they found out what he really was and he was very charming. It seems JA was not very charming and she had very few social graces. Most describe her as weird or "off" and it seems like the whole Mormon church knew that she had something to do with the murder. Bundy had IQ (intelligence quotient) and EQ (emotional quotient), Jodi has the EQ of a dog toy.

I know JA is very dangerous, but I have my doubts about serial killer status. If Travis wouldn't have come along, she might have killed some guy anyway, but I think the situation would have had similar circumstances: rejection, perceived cheating, lack of importance. Travis was the victim here and no one deserves to die the way he did, but he continued to let her into his life and into his bed. I know I get grief for this, but Travis told all of his friends how she was stalking him (which she was) and how he was so done with her. She kept communicating with him, but he responded and he let her into his bed. I think Deanna said it perfectly when she said that Travis liked the attention JA gave to him. Every warning flag was flying in that poor man's face, but he couldn't stop seeing her. I am not blaming the victim here by any stretch, so I don't want y'all to jump on me.

I have tried to think about this case in the "what if's".

What if JA would have kept her big mouth shut from the beginning? Would we still be so adamant about her guilt? Would we all have gotten so invested? More than likely, she would have gotten Murder 2 and been out in 12 years.

What if we switch genders for Jodi and Travis? In other words, Travis showed up at Jodi's house and killed her. Would we feel differently or would we be asking why didn't she call the police. Do we expect more of women when it comes to unwanted stalking behavior. Come on, ladies.... How many of you would have let him in? Would you have called the police right away if your ex just showed up standing behind you at 4:00 AM?

    Just my opinions.... Nothing more.

Watching Geraldo....so now Travis was chasing a naked 4 year old boy while TA was holding a Bible and Jodi took a photo. Nurmi wouldn't let it in. Yeah......riiiiiiight! Does she ever quit?

Thats a good question. If she kept her mouth shut from the beginning, i dont know if i would be here. What caught my attention at first to this trial was the fact that jodi talked, acted and sort of looked like a person I knew in my personal life, so at first those similarities struck my interest. But her lies have kept me here, and over time I have gotten to "know" travis and his family and want to see some sense of justice for them

I will say this though, I think if she told the REAL truth from the beginning and showed some type of remorse for what she did, even if she didnt really mean it, i dont think she would be as hated as she is. But she is a coward and would never do that

This trial would be over already if Travis was the one who did this to Jodi. This trial would have ended a long time ago. Im a male so i might not be able to relate, but I would imagine most women would call the police right away if a guy showed up in their house unannounced at 4am

I think it's more difficult for men when it comes to a woman stalking them. They probably would be labeled a wimp or whatever for being "afraid" of a woman. Most women wouldn't hesitate to call authorities and admit their fear because that's expected. Therefore, I don't think we expect more out of women. However, in this case, would Travis really fear her since she lived 1000 miles away? I think he was just biding his time for her to finally move on. Nobody ever really thinks someone is capable of murder. Let's face it...it's easier said than believed.

Here's the other thing about serial killers. We know they exist. Many times we hear their friends/family/neighbors say they are shocked because the person was sooo nice and good and normal. She may not have randomly killed people, but I could see her turning into a black-widow type where she'd kill future husbands if they left her.

I wasn't sure if I heard him right. Then he said Jodi doesn't deserve the death penalty. He said her case is a obvious case of domestic violence. He's dumber than I thought.

In reading laws on Def motion, I couldn't stop thinking, how quickly killer managed to push Travis aside on all channels and get attention right back on her.
Then the "Uniquie individual" stuck out to me!

"Uniqueness" of the victim Travis Alexander

The killer manipulates again to dehumanize the victim. The reign of "Justice" is being attacked! Another attempted murder to steal the life out of this verdict and remove the 'evidence' Headlines that Travis' life was something to honor and remember. Arias is stealing the attention on Justice in as calculated and premeditated manner as the First Degree Murder she's been found guilty of committing.

Arias' latest stunt was immediate. Her goal to smother the love and outpouring that glowed upon Travis. As the queen of evil, she's enticing people, manipulating via feelings of anger and hate to glean attention. No one knows better than Arias, hate is powerful if you give in to it! She will entice you at every turn for attention. She is trying to shoot down any celebration of Justice or Travis Alexander's life. Every attempt in her is obsessed with ways to continue to dehumanize him, kill him again and again. Keep the focus on herself thereby attempting to diminish Travis.

I ask we not give this killer what she desires!
Individually and thereby collectively we can stand strong.
WE can be a voice for Travis Alexander.
WE can each give our Victims Statement publicly!
Cry out against feeing her ego giving her any attention.
Cry out against empty Hours of speculation with many talking heads added to a panel that do nothing more than aid this evil queen rewarding her with headlines and hours of attention. Hours wasted! Empty without facts. Precious hours that should be highlighting Travis' life.

I hope we each find our voice for Travis!
Take back the power of Justice!

I suggest we impose a 'public' death sentence if you will.
Ignore her, she is nothing, she barely exists.
It will be difficult. It will require suppressing attention you are tempted to give the killer.
Send our own form of Victims Statements to demand programs like HLN focus on Travis not the killer. Text, FB, email or use your OFF button to insist this time and spotlight is placed back on the victims amazing life.
If media refuses to hear your Victims Statement, black them out!
Ratings taking deep falls is a loud voice!
No matter how tempted, resist queen evil's temptation to draw you into her web.
If a jury can discipline themselves for 5 months, surely we can resist the killer now.
Ignore the killer?s attention seeking acts, swat her away, give her no more power than you give a bothersome gnat.
For those of you that asked and send a request to help them find it, here is the post. Post #26459

Really?? ummmm It's called Freedom of the Press/Freedom of Speech. We all have the right to take it or leave it, right? People (especially me) want to hear more about this trial. I WANT to hear both sides of it all. It is up to me to filter the information and process it using MY OWN mind. When I tire of it, I will let it go. But in my own time. Not because a message board poster obviously obsessed as much as I am in the case tells me it is time to stop and demand others take up her cause to refuse to listen. WT knows where the off switches are on her TV and computer. Use them without telling me how I should proceed in following/not following this case. I have learned a lot watching Jodi et al in this case and will continue to take the information on human psyche (for one) as part of my knowledge base from learning the details of this case.

I respectfully disagree. She's lying. She threw out without missing a beat about felony law then is suddenly stone ignorant on mitigation.. nah. She understood all along, she practically was tonguing the mit spec for months now.

Thanks Sneakers! I asked awhile back (being serious not hateful) what could possibly work for her and listed the mitigation factors cause I honestly couldn't see any that fit for her. They must have found something. Even for JA, she's had a life for 30 yrs. There was that art teacher, her high IQ they could throw out for helping other inmates, getting her GED... or she could just waive mitigation since she said she wants to die : )

I am positive that they will just let her go in the end. Free her from all of this pain and suffering. Send her home to her beloved family and friends. Send her home to pursue her dreams of hanging her beautiful artwork next to Monet and Van Gogh; where it belongs! I am so grateful that she escaped that terrible, horrible man's home with her life! I cannot ( in my wildest nightmares) imagine what Hell that awful man put her through before she had to fight her way out of his house!
I shall fast; fast in preparation of the jury's just decision of Jodi's freedom. Thank you so much for creating this JAII site so that like-minded people can post freely about their love for Jodi. And I also thank you for providing us with endless hours of hilarity in reading all of your obnoxious posts. We have copied and pasted comments from this site for our entertainment as you all are obviously brainless beyond comprehension. Nicely done. I still think that it's mostly sock puppets over there (the site's admin posing as supporters) but I'm sure there's a few that are real and candidates for some serious therapy.

She looks a bit green here.
She looks like she can't believe the jury didn't buy her bullshit.

Also, the Geraldo thing will be on again in 30 minutes. Midnight Central time.

Oh to have been a fly on the wall on Thursday in the Judge's chamber. Nurmi and Willmott were in with the Judge without their convicted felon of a client for the first portion and then they brought her in. From the court minutes:

12:47 p.m. Trial to Jury continues from 05/08/2013.

Court convenes in chambers with Counsel for the Defendant only.
    Discussion is held
    12:53 p.m.
    Matter concludes.

1:00 p.m. Court convenes in chambers with Defendant and Counsel for the Defendant present.
Counsel for the Defendant moves to dismiss the death penalty option

    Discussion is held.
IT IS ORDERED denying the motion.
    1:14p.m. Matter concludes.

Yes, I thought about that, and don't get me wrong, I don't think she would have been disturbed by them, maybe even had a sense of "I won" about her, but I think her main motive was to manufacture a story that fitted with the evidence.

I totally agree with this! I'm not really comparing their crimes, or their motives, it's more the way they presented themselves. As you say, people found Arias charming when they met her initially, and then began to question what they were intuiting about her. Bundy was able to fool everyone around him using his charm and intelligence.

And yes, Arias is not very bright for someone trying to get away with murder. The blunder after blunder is really quite laughable (although not funny). And the other thing that drives me mad is when they keep saying in the media that she is a brilliant liar! She's a terrible liar! She has so many 'tells' it's beyond belief! Her launch into detail when challenged with the truth is one of my favorites! Like when Flores is showing her a picture of Travis' bloody (probably dead) body with a pant leg and foot in it, and she starts talking about having 2 pairs of pants like that, and she got 2 pairs because one of them was on sale, and one of them is too tight and the other is just right!?!?! Whoa! WTF? It's as if she is attempting aversion therapy. Like 'if I talk about something else for long enough, maybe the other person will forget about what they are asking me, or challenging me with'!?!?

I guess the similarity is that they presented themselves to the outside world that way (as intelligent). Another one would be that they were adamant and staunch in the belief that they were going to 'dupe' and 'fool' others into believing them! Guess that's the narcissistic trait.

Travis had a big ego (IMO), lots of people do, especially if you have come from a childhood and adolescence where you have been teased, and are not really popular. It's compensation for low self-esteem. I honestly don't think he thought she was capable of killing him! He may have been bothered by her behavior, even hurt and viewed it as a problem, but telling his friends that he has a stalker, may have been a way to re-iterate the illusion of distance between him and Jodi. He wouldn't have won any respect from his nearest and dearest if they knew he was still having sex with her. Some friends didn't even know her name (i.e, 911 call).

When I listened to that sex tape, I heard that Travis was not really interested in her as a person. He was very blazay unless they were getting down to business. He kept yawning, and sounded drunk (further evidence that he didn't know that he was being recorded). I know he wasn't drunk, but my point is, he was a public speaker! I'm sure if he knew he was being recorded, he would want to sound better than that. In complete contrast, she was giddy, and DID sound like she was about 12! The ONLY thing in the defense's case that I agree with, is that that girl faked that orgasm, not because she needed 'two hands', but because she was insincere about why she was recording him. She kept asking him to repeat things that sounded incriminating, i.e' "twelve year old girl".

It's more common for men to be stalkers apparently, (67%) so I'm not sure this case would have received the kind of attention it did, and it's less likely (IMO) that a man would show up a 4am, stay the night, act friendly, have any need to get the woman into a more vulnerable situation (sitting in a shower stall). Maybe I'm wrong, could be a small man, large lady? Who knows? But like I said, It's obvious that Travis didn't take the red flags very seriously.

Did you hear about what abc15 picked up with their microphones when the Arias family were leaving court? Something about "I'm glad the Jury didn't see that!"

See what? I want to know!!! Chamber flies on walls would know!

Completely agree with everything you posted

SNL is not the same for sure. It would have been funnier if they had her just go psycho, or had one of the cast come on as Urmi.

[QUOTE=Lana2006;341707 (snippety snipped)Trust me those people will never get it!!! I'm questioning whether they are even real[/QUOTE]

They're not. Maybe I should've posted the link before, but this is the Twitter account I've mentioned every 80pgs through this thread whenever the subject comes up. It's linked to E.Ds main Jodi page, & JAII is linked there too, so E.D readers can simply follow the links post some crazy or offensive shite, then have fun watching all the Travis AND real Jodi supporters flip out. Don't scroll past the title, you WON'T like it. Just read the small print. Then treat JAII as the site it REALLY is. This is not a putdown to anyone who wants to mess back, but I've noticed a few people getting upset or bewildered by some of the posts. If it sounds crazy stupid, & it's posted on a site linked with JAII or this Twitter, you really don't need to be concerned.

    http://mobile.twitter.com/Jodi_Arias

Whoa! Nope don't follow the link, they've just redirected to a worse one. Don't click unless you want to see trolling in action.

You'll get a quick flash of the original HaHa shut down msg with Encyclopaedia Dramatica links before it takes you to their latest active account. In any case, they're all linked. The only real Jodi support site is a private FB account with about 100 members.
