Nurmi is up to his eyeballs in hate now. He took an ass kicking six ways to Sunday throughout the trial. Now he even has Jodi's supporters ready to tan his hide (and let's face it... That's one Hell of a wacky bunch! I'd be more afraid of them than the Jodi haters) I kinda feel sorry for him in a small sort of way. Yes, he's vile. But holy shizit! Both sides can't stand him now. Poor Nurmi. All of that lurid stuff had to have come from Jodi. He may have put his pervy spin on it, but for the most part, it was Jodi's baby.
I often wondered throughout the trial if Juan ever cracked up when Nurmi farted or burped. Juan was sitting the closest to him when he'd let those rip. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

I'm guessing the "cousin" is hoping that the JAII people won't be smart enough to realize there is not going to be retrial. I cannot believe her family is blaming the defense for Jodi's conviction.

I got sidetracked ---- I wanted to say you cannot PETITION for a retrial and have a bunch of yahoos sign it. There are ways the court deals with this. It is called the Appeals process......I need an aspirin.

This is exactly what I thought when I heard that! she could have said "if I could change anything I would never have gone to Travis' house". Instead her words are saying "I would have killed him anyway, but I would have gone to the police"

I agree, that is what she essentially said. I find this SO illuminating. I think it shows her true state of mind. It would not have occurred to her to say "I would never have gone to Travis' house" precisely because she DID plan it all in advance, and she did intend to kill him. It was not spur of the moment. She planned to go and kill him, and she fulfilled that plan. The only thing (even in her mind) that she would change is how she handled it afterwards in hopes of looking less guilty. "I would not have gone in the first place" did not and would not occur to her because in her mind, Travis had to die.

In the video on this page at about the 1min mark they talked about armed security guards going into the court room (along with ones already in there) for some reason

Yep, add in the comments from her family when leaving, the 2 extra deputies called into the courtroom, the delay immediately----I think you're spot on, Stabby flipped out in court.

I agree. And when you add in the overheard statements made by the Arias family as they left the courthouse saying "I hope the jury did not see that" + "I know" + "Wow", it makes it even more likely Jodi had a meltdown. Why else would the Arias family make such comments to each other? If it was not Jodi's bad behavior, why would the Arias family care if the jury saw it?

I bet Jodi had a complete breakdown. It must be a scary thought for someone with her issues to finally realize that she will never have children, a husband, go get her nails done, drive down the road, travel, go to weddings, be there when her sister's have children, be by her parent's when they pass, go out to eat at restaurants, play at the beach, sleep in late on Sundays, have a job, gets your hair done, or take photos again. The only thing she will ever do again is pine away in jail about all the things she *could* be doing. The only people she will ever have again is other people that are in jail.

This thought cheers me up considerably. It also harkens back to the day she was arrested when she was crying right before the arrest and Det Flores asked her why, and she said she was "thinking of all the things she would miss out on." Now it has all come to pass for real, and she is having trouble handling it.

I agree with this. We are not aware of all the context that the audience would be. Look at the things on this thread that we repeat and find hilarious, but a newcomer or outsider would be scratching their head trying to figure out why we are all cracking up over "Jodi ruins everything", or any of our other many in-jokes.

Did you read the narrative that was quoted from another site talking about someone stole the button to Jodi's stun belt and the gallery was passing it around zapping Jodi and no one knew who had the buzzer.....It was a great story.....commenting the lawyers and Judge kept laughing and like school kids could not hold back a laugh when you have to be serious and they kept running back into chambers and cracking up. It was a funny story from someone with a great imagination.

Ironically, Arias quoted Scott M Peck's 'The Road Less Traveled' in her interrogation video with Flores: "dedication to reality at all costs". Scott M Peck was essentially addressing 'emotional' pain', or better yet, the pain of 'facing the truth'! Sandy Arias (IMO), is no more able to do this than her daughter! Unless you go 'through' that pain, and not 'around' it, it will ALWAYS be with you! And it will ALWAYS be with Sandy Arias! As for Jodi, it is so much worse! She has proved, time & time again, that she will go to ANY LENGTHS to preserve her [false] ego! She is, in essence, the exact opposite of what Scott M Peck was talking about! (hence the irony) She would rather DIE, than be given no further attention! And in my humble opinion, this was EXACTLY her motive for murdering Travis!
