Kinda sums up her fan base.

"Charlie Garro: ive been in suicide watch many times .....i know it sucks....I will do anything for Jodi..all she has to do is ask and im ready to serve...she does not deserve any of this....she is guilty of lying and lying about the murder....but she didnt kill travis."

    She really attracts some winners!

Yup! Nothing wrong with that on its own. It gets problematic when it starts working to relegate others to an inferior status in the public forum as was seen yesterday when preferential access to the courtroom was arranged ahead of those others of the general public who had been waiting longer. Complaints were voiced. I heard them. I wasn't one of them. Behavior like that certainly seems to demonstrate an underlying indifference towards the sensitivities of others of equal status, or conversely, a claim to enhanced status! Put this into the context of the character of the person who is on trial here. Tread very carefully.

Sorry I am way behind, is the girl sitting in front of the Alexander family Detective Flores' daughter? I had heard his family was there.

What's the point of the speech? Perhaps the understanding is that the speech is an example of what not to do and shows the pitfalls of his company. I could see some drawn in to a relatable guy with experience in the biz who yes, made mistakes in the business and wants to share them so others don't commit them.
You might be right, it does run out before the ending I presume.
I couldn't help but catch a couple near the front though. Second row maybe. Every time the guy tried to touch her, put his arm around or hand on her, she had a shrug off for him. She's in a pink? top and he is in a dark shirt.

There is no reason to question that and good reason to believe that they have been a comfort and a help. My comments are based solely on what I have observed. It appears that something has been added to that original motivation. That does not detract in any way from the original intent and the helpful things they have done. I saw proof of that when Tanisha appeared to thank them, along with others, and each got a hug in appreciation. Appearances do seem to indicate that, for some, opportunity has been added as a new element to the original motive. I can't help but wonder whether Katie's involvement and behavior at the court, has taken on the characteristics of an extended audition and an ego trip. That's not a severe criticism, just an observation.
You are totally correct, Ian. The people at Web Sleuths love Katie Wick and have been rooting for her to become a regular on Dr. Drew's show for a long time. I'm not sure if one of the people you observed was Katie Monkman (Katiecoolady on Web Sleuths), or not, but she definitely has been avoiding contact with new people for the last month or so. It is a defense mechanism. Her sister was murdered in Arizona several years ago, and she helped in the formation of the Victim's Rights Act. She met KW on one of the first days of the trial and they became good friends. A group has been meeting for a happy hour after the trial for months at the hotel across the street. It's the 2 Katie's and other posters from Websleuths, I believe.

Think she joined the screen actors guild? That way she could get minimum wage and royalties for her appearances? I bet not.

RE Katie Wick: I would not be surprised at all if there is already an offer on the table from HLN (she'd be a better fit at FoxNews) or at the very least some discussions to put her on the payroll in some capacity...

Professional trial watcher?? is it possible?

Katiecoolady has been sitting with the family all along. She has raised a lot of money to help with their expenses. I believe they were brought in at the family's request. You said you saw Tanisha giving them hugs, didn't you?

I wasn't referring to Katiecoolady. She is not the dominant Katie on the scene. To put it bluntly, I was talking about KW--the Katie with the ponytail. I have not a thing to say about the appreciation Tanisha demonstrated. She's absolutely entitled to do it and they're absolutely entitled to receive it. Bless 'em all along with many others.

    Peace!

I think you might be right... it's emerged over time... at first he thought it was novel to have a fresh viewpoint on court proceedings but she could be wearing a little thin on him by now. It may be the higher-ups at HLN that are insisting that she be a nightly fixture on his show based on viewer response... IDK

Oh I can totally see where you are coming from. At least with KW. First I knew of her she was a DD juror and i would see her in the court craning her neck to stare at the jurors and didn't even sit on the family side anyway. I do question her motives and I feel she saw her opportunity in the closeness that has been built up by KCL and the family which I think is genuine. KW seems to be riding on her coat tails because it will get her close to the centre of the drama. I don't really like saying that but yeah definitely agree with you on that.

Anyway...KW is the least of anyones problems. If she is helping the family in any way then I'm fine with that and Im sure they are too.

It's only KW that I was referring to and commenting on in my previous posts. At the scene, she is the dominant, most conspicuous Katie. Glad to hear her access to the Alexander family was provided by KC.

Can you imagine a man convicted of murder doing an interview right after his conviction? It really is like she's a talking animal that doesn't realize people are so interested in it because it's a talking animal.
Plus there's the "danger" factor! The "Jodi Tamer" in the center ring of the circus, whip in hand, only it's not her mouth he dangerously sticks his head into as the crowd is hushed with fear!

I am sooooo tired of Jodi and her demands. Can't the Judge just tell her that the Jury has spoken, you can you can't tell the courts how to run anything you are a convicted felon, now digest that!!!!!

Yeah, he slipped on a knife almost 30 times and unfortunately tumbled neck first onto said knife neck first...then out of the goodness in her heart JA shot him to end his suffering. Yeah, right. She's covering for the two ninjas. Bwahahahaha! Idiots.
Anyway, you really have to wonder about someone who says they are "ready to serve" a complete stranger (that just happened to butcher a nice guy).

Nothing you hear can be given any credibility unless it comes with a citation back to an original source--and that's the Court. The Media is rehashing and spinning all sorts of crap just to keep the momentum going. As for the attitude of the people officially connected to the court, from the Sheriff's Deputies to the Judge, they are very tight-lipped. I can best put it this way. "The Public is invited but not welcomed."

    Trust me.

Lorizfree! Clear out your Inbox. It's not accepting anymore PM's. Did not see Dr. Drew or hear the name of Dr. Drew while I was down at the courthouse yesterday. I could be wrong. The fiirst time I heard about him being there was on this blog. Things happened the way I described it in my post. It's possible I didn't see everything. Katie and her little group are tight-lipped and act like insiders. They don't share outside of themselves.

Katie's group consists of herself, her blonde-haired female cohort and a twenty-one year-old young male who just completed the semester at a local community college and is working the summer as a landscaper. That's it. The only way they distinguish themselves from the rest of the trial watchers there is that they huddle in a tight closed circle whenever they are talking to anyone else; reserve their spots in the pecking order by placing some article on the seats; and, get there very early to grab the first places in line.
They obviously have motives and objectives that are distinct from those of the rest of the folks, i.e. to be at, and to be seen to be at, and to be part of the center of the action.

    Enuf!
Thanks Ian!!! Sorry about my inbox. At this point I'm questioning whether or not I heard Dr Drew went into the courtroom at all. I know I heard his name. but perhaps they were identifying Katie as "Dr Drew's Juror" Hell if I know. After I watched Dr Drew last night, he said nothing about it. But neither did Katie. We know Katie was told not to talk to the press, but on Dr Drew's show last night, she said "it's rumored (paraphrasing) that the reason for the big mystery, was that Jodi and her lawyers are not getting along." I wouldn't blame them a bit if the lawyers were pissed about that interview Jodi did after the verdict. It was only 20 minutes after the verdict, and the phone call with the guy that did the interview was taped. Jodi seemed to be orchestrating the entire thing, without her lawyers knowledge. The reporter, in an interview, said that he didn't know if the lawyers were ok with it. He said didn't want to even talk to the lawyers, just in case they would keep her from doing the interview. I guess I can't blame him. Jodi could have used that interview to help herself. Instead, she was seething with anger at Travis and his family. Plus anyone else she could think of (except her own family). She was given many opportunities (according to the reporter) to say she was sorry for what she did, or show SOME kind of remorse for taking the life of a human being. The reporter said she took none of those opportunities..just to say I'm sorry. She makes me so sick. What the hell is really wrong with her? What she's doing seems to go far beyond BPD. I don't know. I hope the prosecution is allowed to bring up all her interrogation interviews, the ones with her mom and dad, and again play the TV interviews prior to the verdict, AND this interview. Then bring on all the family members she has crushed, and stepped on, and spit on. God forbid I be wrong for wanting it, but at this point, there needs to be justice for the Alexander family.
    :o)

Maybe she went for one of the Alexanders? Or better yet, maybe one of them went for her? They were escorted out with guards, but the Arias' were not!
