I just watched Dr. Drew and heard that Jodi's mom was refused visitation at the jail psych unit. There's only one reason the staff would refuse the visit and that is that Jodi is in restraints or locked seclusion. Many of you wanted Jodi to have a complete meltdown in court...to flip her shit...to go berzzerk, I think she did. Im guessing (and again this is based upon working in forensic psychiatry) she is full of rage that is either self-directed or directed at the staff.

This is my guess, mind you...guess. It's been my experience working at the Sheriff's office that once someone gets convicted, the attitude of all authorities changes. They had to put up with her bullshit due to the innocent until proven stuff. Now that she's convicted, they won't put up with her shit. I think next Wednesday is going to be the next phase whether she likes it or not. They'll medicate her or shackle her or do whatever the hell they have to do to get her to cooperate. This week she will begin to be "institutionalized" and I don't think she's going to like the consequences if she doesn't buck up. Welcome to the Green Mile, Miss Jodi.

Haven't read the thread since this a.m., so, without doing it, here's my short version of what happened, (more accurately, what didn't happen), in court today.

Got there at 10:30 a.m., well in advance of the scheduled 1:00 p.m. starting time set for the Aggravation Phase. Secured seat number six which definitely put me in a position to get into this phase of the trial. (Thanks Faq for being at the end of the telephone for the periodic progress reports I was trying to send out while waiting for the big moment). The crowd was sparse at the trial watcher's end of the floor and, of course, all the talk was about yesterday's verdict--and lots and lots of rehashing the details that have been talked about since almost the beginning. Folks aren't sated by the simple Guilty verdict. They still want to discuss how it came to be. Everybody has their own version of what went on in the Juror's minds and in that room. Nobody knows exactly, but that doesn't stop anyone from speculating...

...The trial will not resume until next Wednesday. I'll be gone. I gave it two of my best but it looks like I'll never get into that courtroom when the action is going on. Jodi ruins everything.

My guess is that the judge ruled victim statements won't be via video, she flipped out BIG time and that's why her mama said she hoped the jury didn't see it. She hates Travis's family as much as she hated Travis. She also doesn't like to be confronted with her bad behavior; e.g., she moved out of the house instead of taking her parental punishment.

Okay.....this still bothers the piss out of me: Why was she allowed near the meeeeeeeeedia. I don't think Sheriff Joe and his guards are that stupid....for fuck sake, they had issue with Jodi being in chambers without a guard there. When someone is convicted of a crime, it is typical for them to be cuffed and remanded to the custody of the guards and immediately whisked away. Why did this not happen? Jodi belonged to the prison system, from the moment that sentence was pronounced. Her freedom of speech flew out the window. There is something wrong, here. Why was she allowed to sit and chat with the media before being transferred out? WTF is wrong with this "reporter"......he knew it was wrong. We all know that this bitch is cray cray, but that is a lot different than being incompetent.
My guess? She lost it and the loss of control over her situation pushed her over. This is a woman who went into a homicidal rage and killed a man when she didn't get her way. I think after this interview, she either fired her DT or they told her they were done with her ass.

Thanks for posting. I didn't understand most of it. Just the first sentence of relevant facts that says "On May 8th, 2013, Ms. Arias was convicted of First Degree Murder."
And that she wants to maintain control of this case in any way possible.
Judge needs to deny, deny, deny!
