I am conflicted regarding the death penalty as a matter or principle. However if any case deserves that sentence, This is the case. What puts me over the edge is her continuing to trash Travis with that vile accusation of pedophilia. HLN Continues to play that post verdict interview ... when that reporter asks her if she thinks about Travis,she responds that she wished she could have made a deal so that she wouldn't have to reveal what a hypocrite Travis was an She mentions the twelve year old girl comment and reiterates the pedo allegation. She is still obsessed with destroying him. The media has to stop playing that interview

Given that it's Jodi's family, it could very well be a tactic for sympathy.

But, to be fair, my Grandmother only used a wheelchair when she would have to walk long distances or have to stand for a long time. So maybe that's what's going on here. Maybe Ian or someone can fill us in on how much walking/standing she would have to do at that courthouse.

Yeah, I don't understand the "Grandma's faking it" crap. My Grandma is in decent shape for an 85 year old (walks around the mall in the mornings, volunteers at the library, and similar low-impact old person activity) but it's not uncommon to have bad days where she needs a walker or wheelchair. I would think that emotional duress would take a lot out of anyone, especially an older person. Big fucking deal if Granny Arias got her picture taken with a male stripper. It's not like she was actually working the stripper pole.

There's obviously shady stuff happening in Jodi's family, whether it's Jodi or her mom or whatever, but that does not mean that EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. in her family is soulless and that EVERY. SINGLE. ACTION. is manipulative and worth launching an attack. For fucks sake.

This may not be very popular of me to say but here goes. I disagree with them taking all her commissary money. She obviously had funds in there received from family, friends, JAII nuts and from the sale of her "art" and "panties". If they could take away the amount they feel was from the art and panties and leave the rest would be appropriate. The things they buy in the commissary are at less than cost and $50 would go a long way. If her mom puts $ in there for her to buy shampoo, snacks or other basic needs, should be left there. If I put a hard earned $50 in a relative's account -- it doesn't mean I think they are innocent or that I disagree with the verdict. It means I believe as human beings we can at least agree even the lowest of lows deserve a bar of soap now and then. Otherwise we would not be any better than those third world prisons. We are Americans. Now don't go twistin' my words....I am not saying she should have luxuries of any kind.
OK, have at me. I have just expressed my opinion.....ready to handle the fallout.

She should be able to keep money from her family, but not money from her "supporters". I don't consider money contributed to her family to be profit or charitable donation.

I am pretty sure he was saying that is what he expects the judge will say, but that defense attorneys file them often, out of a sense of doing everything they can do for their client. I don't believe she has ruled, yet.
