Probably explains why Gina Dejesus got into Ariel Castro's car the day of the abduction. He was her best friend's father. What total scumbags these men are, watching the news ..the families of these young women desperately searching for years. That's just what I was thinking! They had mentioned her when they were missing along with the other 2, but it turns out (although there were 3 girls) it was a different missing girl. Sad thing is, the 3rd girl, Kathleen, was thought t have left on her own so no one ever really looked for her, and she never got the coveage that Amanda and Gina got. I wonder how that makes her feel, to know there were rewards for the other 2 girls and their cases were on the FBI site, and not her? (I read this on the CNN site).

How are you gonna tell someone who says they've been held captive for a decade "yeah yeah I got it, we will send a car when it's available"
I've called 911 before a couple of times and have always been asked if I wanted someone to stay on the phone with me until help arrived. I also briefly dated a guy who worked a dispatcher who said that they are absolutely supposed to keep you on the line, or at the very least ask you if you feel it necessary.

Kidnap house may hold clues to fourth victim
US investigators scouring a home where three women were allegedly held captive for a decade are now searching for clues of a fourth kidnap victim.
Ashley Summers was 14 years old when she disappeared from the same neighbourhood in Cleveland where kidnap victims Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus vanished.
Berry, DeJesus and a third woman tasted freedom for the first time in years yesterday after being found imprisoned in the home of a 52-year-old school bus driver, who has since been arrested along with his two brothers.
Authorities have long speculated that Ashley was abducted by the same man as Berry and DeJesus, and that one or more of the girls may have been forced into prostitution, according to local news reports.
"What do they have in common?" Cleveland police training George Kwan said in August 2010 after a lecture about human trafficking.
"They are all attractive, they are all between the ages of 14 and 17 and they are all gone."
A spokeswoman with the Federal Bureau of Investigation added today that the proximity of Ashley's home to the other disappearances meant investigators had to suspect the cases were linked.
The FBI is in charge of gathering evidence at the home where Berry and DeJesus were found.
"We are keeping Ashley in our thoughts as we go every step of the way," the FBI spokeswoman said.
"Whether it is something we find at the house, or someone seeing the stories remembers something, we continue our search for Ashley."
Ashley vanished in 2007 after an argument with her great uncle, with whom she lived, so she was initially considered a runaway.
Her family reported she called her mother a month later to tell her not to worry and that she would be okay ? but she was never heard from since.
A year later the police and the FBI were looking differently at the case and suspected Ashley was being held somewhere against her will.

I was thinking of Ashley too. Based on what was said about miscarriages and such, how horrible if they did have her and she died in childbirth or something of that nature. PURE speculation on my part of course.

The 911 Operator needs disciplinary action or re-training or a new job. She was a c-unit to Amanda on the phone. She could have at least asked another Operator who Amanda was or Googled her or something.

Worst job for that person ever. I am still infuriated that they just let her go to wait for the police. You are trained on so much for that job and get paid well, who takes that job and treats people like that?
I must have worked too many jobs that required phone interaction, because I wouldn't even treat a customer that way in a state of panic let alone someone actually calling for help.
