To be fair to them not noticing a smell...I know that my mind would not go to "hey maybe that is the smell of a decomposing body."

according to police reports one roommate had been housesitting his girlfriend's parent's home.... and the other roommate had been working and going to church functions and wasn't there much either. No, offense to men but they probably didn't give it much thought past something outside smelling bad.
There's a fake Tanisha too, under that thing's follow list. https://twitter.com/titisoresore So, report that too please, peeps!

I'd like to address this smell topic as I had a problem with it in the beginning, but no longer.
1. They're young men. And let's face it. Boys SMELL FUNNY!
2. The dog crapped all over the house normally. I mean, ALL OVER THE HOUSE! Can you imagine the crap that was accumulating during those 5 days?
3. They're renters. They didn't investigate. Obviously they didn't want to have to clean up what wasn't their problem.
4. They might have smelled it, but never attributed the smell to anything but a weird smell. They both had never smelled a dead body.
5. The arid climate caused Travis' body to mummify. That plus the air conditioning. The smell wasn't that strong until they opened Travis' bedroom door.
In summation, I do believe that they will probably never forget that smell as long as they live and I'm sure anyone who was living in that house during that time is in therapy for life over it. I have never seen TV interviews of the roommates. This is probably because the first question everyone has is "Didn't you SMELL anything?!?!?!"
What a nightmare.
Hi y'all. I joined a while back but either found less than little time to post or found the board slooww as the Nurmeister...but I digress...
.. I'm hangin in like everyone else, waiting for a verdict that may 'begin' to help heal the soul of the Alexander family.

For those asking about the roommates. Remember, Zach Billings was not at home for much of that time. He was housesitting for his girlfriend and her parents, who were on a cruise. Also, Enrique was gone a lot of the day at work, taking public transportation back and forth. And, they thought he had already left for Cancun. I also believe that Enrique had only been there for a few weeks, so, he wasn't familiar that much with the household and Travis' comings and goings. And it's possible they thought the smell was from the dog making a mess in the house, or that some animal was deceased in the attic or behind the walls.
At a former home, we had gotten mice and squirrels in the attic, and the exterminator had set out poison. It's possible for animals to end up deceased in crawl spaces, between walls, etc. So, for all the roommates knew, that was the reason.

The further into this Chris Huges interview I get more and more inside info than I thought he had. For anyone who wants more info on what happened between Travis and JA. WOW! She literally ruined him financially especially during the last year of his life? (how can this not have been mentioned before or did I miss this?) I bet he supported her the entire time she was in Mesa, and finally in May08 he said enough, and that's why JA had to move back to CA. Prolly made her mad, then that email "you are the worst thing that ever happened to me" (which takes on new meaning in this interview)
So many things set Stabby into murder motion. I don't know if killing him had much to do with Cancun?
This interview is much better than watching HLN!

Update.....5 jurors went on break!!!!
Yeah, that's what HLN does when there is any movement. Idiots.
I even seen Beth Karus roll her eyes when Ryan asked if that was important. LOL
Damn that Vinnie Politan... he just tweeted and on my phone all I could see was "Jurors have..... I got all excited only to read the rest which said Jurors have emerged from the jury room with escorts guess they took a break...
5 Jurors taking a break right now!
I'm sure people would be strangling me at this point, but if I were the foreperson of the jury I'd be taking a slow walk through all of the evidence.
With someone's life at stake, that's the least I think the jury should do.
But I think what this delay is telling us is there's a knucklehead or two on the jury.
I was actually part Henry Fonda's character on a civil jury deciding damages. 9 jurors ready to get out of there in 15 minutes with the max number, 2 abstained, me on the other side by myself. It was a unique experience, to say the least.![]()
Chris Huges said that when Travis first started PPL he was making 110+ a year, then he met Jodi. He did begin slacking in his work, just doing whatwas required his last year, and according to Chris that last year Travis was in financial ruin. No specifics, but I'm sure a lot of his money went to Jodi, who could not hold down a job, and encouraged him to travel to their 1000 places. Doubt she contributed much. If it's all true, I just wonder why I'd never heard of it? Has anyone else here? Or heard something to the contrary?
I remember exactly what I was doing for the OJ verdict and the CA verdict. And my jaw was also on the floor, and I am quite sure I yelled at the jurors. This is why I am trying so so so so hard to NOT pay attention to the nonsense on TV. I wish I had been able to shut it off earlier. Like I said, I had my mind made up after seeing the autopsy photos and then seeing that she was uninjured. The proportion was so onesided. But, I also lurked here for quite awhile and included that in MY own personal verdict. I really thought they would be done by now. But nothing can surprise me after that crazy ass defense she put on, so all I can do is cross my fingers, pray for Travis' family, and well, not worry. I don't see how it would be possible to get this wrong. I just don't, but stranger things have happened.
I have never believed that Jodi killed Travis solely because of Cancun. It might have been the final straw that pushed her from anger into murderous rage, but I really believe the murder had more to do with her obsession. He was what she wanted, and when he started to pull away from her, it ticked her off. How dare he do that to her? When he really began to disconnect from her, she couldn't handle it.
Everything she had banked on -- wealth and privilege -- were being taken away from her by one man. She felt she deserved it. She converted. She joined 'the business'. She let him and encouraged him to use her body. In exchange, she was supposed to get the big commitment, and with it, the money, the cars, the house, the vacations, the prestige.
Travis was slowly taking that away from her, and that was it. When he got so angry at the end of May, she knew he had to die. He was going to tell people about how she used him for money and sex, and if that got out, her power over people would end. So she ended him first.
Wait, what is it that they're hung up on?! I mean, it was clearly premeditated. That's basically all they need to decide, right? There is no premeditated lesser offense, is there??? If that's all they really have to decide, then there's def a hold out.
I'm calling out flip flops!
In reading that long email from JA, she was really peeved about not be acknowledged in his writings. He wouldn't hand her a pedestal to stand on, even if it was rightfully his. He wouldn't validate her any longer and she was pissed. I think that was more a motivator than just Cancun. She can't stand not being in the spotlight and destroyed him because of it. I've often wondered if she showed at his house with her usual tiresome suicide threats and he tried to soothe her with sex since that's all they had left.
I Feel More Like I Do Now Than When I Got Here
I'm in AZ, and I have no problem paying taxes for another trial. If they thought they couldn't get a fair trial this time around, next time they're screwed. They'll have ALL of Jodi's testimony to use against her, and everything else that everyone knows from this trial. Bring it on.

I can't hang with the elite premies (stupid PayPal) in their fancy thread, so I'm the green thing in my avatar.
Right? That's why I like the WAT verdict text thing. Except then I get antsy thinking ohhhhh what if it doesn't get sent out immediately? What if my phone is jacked? So I end up refreshing this page and trying to peek at HLN through my fingers (much like Jodi with the awful autopsy pics).
Ugh, Casey Anthony. I remember hearing a few jurors talk about how devastated they were that they had to find her not guilty. That will haunt them forever (well, at least the ones who thought she was guilty).
