I am pretty sure the verdict will come today before lunch. I think they are starting late so that they can sleep on it. I bet they will come dressed up. Today is Steven Alexander's birthday and the 10 year anniversary of my mom's death. I know she would have followed this case like us. She would have hated Jodi, too... So, for those two crazy ass reasons, I believe that Justice will be complete for Travis today.
I really hope the verdict comes early this morning. If it doesn't happen today then I can't see M1. If they don't come up with a victim todayi think that means there are one or two people who just won't budge. Not sure if it'll just be a hung jury in that case orifice they'll all just agree to a lesser charge. I would imagine they'd be pretty frustrated to not charge her with anything after all the time they put into this case. Truth is NO ONE could possibly know what the heck will happen. I want M1 and will be sick to my stomach if they pick anything less than that.

Verdict is coming in today, just my prediction. Yes, they wanted to sleep on it because it's M1. I have faith in Juan. He poured his heart and soul into getting justice for Travis.
On the other hand, if no verdict today, it may end up a lesser included. Which is wrong but better than a hung jury.
I couldn't stand emotionally to watch a retrial of this and the state of AZ couldn't afford to retry this murderess.

Totally agree. I'm in the minority here (if not standing alone) in that I would MUCH rather see a hung jury than anything less than M1.
JA offered to plea guilty to 2nd degree but that offer was turned down. A 2nd degree verdict would be a huge win for her, on so many levels, not the least of which is the fact that she would be out on the street in fewer than 10 years with time served. If the jury is hung, let them re-try her! The evidence for premeditation is clearly there, just as the evidence to convict was there in the CA case, the OJ case, and quite frankly, I'm getting tired of self-absorbed, self-important, runaway juries who take it upon themselves to do more, see more, look for more than the law requires.

I think it is a mistake and pure torture to your own mind to assume that because the jury doesn't come back pronto, that it will mean the jury is hung, or that they are debating a lesser charge. I think it is important for them to talk about what they have listened to for 4 months! Although I thought it would take 5 minutes, I have to remember that HOW they do this is anyone's guess.
We have the luxury of listening to massive amounts of information, as someone pointed out to me, that they didn't have access to, they also have been unable to talk about this stuff.
Keep the faith that they will come back with a just verdict.

I'm encouraged by all of you thinking it going to be today.
I think we will know if the jurors show up this morning dressed nicer than normal.
I was pretty upbeat and confident yesterday that Travis would get M1 based on all of the evidence.
Today, after wondering what the jury was thinking, I'm getting a bit nervous. Specifically about Nurmi's lenghthy "if she went there to kill him, why not do it in his sleep?" crap. I'm worried that there will be jurors who can't wrap their minds around Jodi spending 1/2 a day there before slaughtering him.
I was also thinking again about Nurmi's comment about 9 times out of 10 not liking her. Now I'm thinking that could work to get just ONE of the jurors to "pull for her". If her own lawyer doesn't like her, her mother and father didn't like her, she was cheated on by every boyfriend, Travis used her and called her skank, etc the list goes on and on....she becomes the poor underdog. And God forbid if any of the jurors is buying the fact that she has PTSD or any other mental disorders, because our society's so conditioned now to conclude that "then it's not their fault."

Actually, Jodi has a lot of friends. They're all over on the JAII website. If Jodi ever gets out, they'll be her stalkers, but I think that's appropriate.
