Okay. We have spent varying time together.....following this trial. Some have been here for a long time, others are brand new. Yet, we've become a "family" of sorts. I have gained a respect and familiarity and camaraderie with you all. Other than a few odd souls who blew through here, to seemingly just cause trouble, I've found this to be a great place to share insight and opinions. So, who the heck are we?? I will go first. I am a female, mid-50's (but I look younger, because I inherited my dad's awesome and youthful genes!) I live in a seaside community on the east coast of USA. Married twice (I was widowed young, and a second marriage ended in divorce), I am happily single and in a stable relationship with a great guy. I have two children whom I adore. I'm a freelance writer. I am smart and really cute. LOL I love medicine and science and history, current events, books and books and books and Coconut. I am MDS'er #007. Who are you? I'm almost 46 (birthday next month). I was happily single most of my life and re-met a guy from high school 25 years later. We now have been married almost 3 years. I have 14 nieces and nephews, 4 grandnieces and nephew, and 2 stepsons. I love them all dearly.

I'm a Gemini and I get bored easily. I started my career as an engineer, then control automation and EAM software sales, consulting, dispatcher, and now back to electrical engineering. I design radio systems for Naval ships.

Oh, and my husband is a very kind, loving, and especially patient man! Lol. We just signed a contract to build a new house. Life is good. :)

I understand that but look at it from the point of view of someone on the jury that is wavering about pre-meditation, which is currently happening - (they should have come out today if it was unanimous). That person looks at things like this scenario that the prosecution describes and thinks, 'well if he has no proof about how the casing got there, how can I be sure about other things he said that are iffy such as the gunshot killing him. Another mistake as there are countless examples of gunshots to the head that didn't kill a person. Martinez is saying it would have killed him. It may not have. The other night I read about a case where this guy shot 3 people in the head in a home invasion. They all lived.

I can see your point. Therefore, it will just be a matter of someone bringing common sense to all of the OTHER evidence where there is no question. Also bring in, she's a proven liar. She lied directly to the jury. I don't think anybody thinks the gun shot killed him. She made a point of killing him by the stabs and slicing.

I don't think we can jump to any conclusions about what the jury is doing, and how or why they are doing it. I have utmost faith that these people are not idiots, because of the questions they've asked throughout the trial. This is a decision that they should not take lightly. Every jury works in a unique rhythm. They have a lot to discuss. No matter how they feel about Jodi, personally, they need to look at all the evidence and weigh it against the charge. All the ducks have to be lined up, beyond a reasonable doubt, before they can act on that. A quick verdict is not as typical as we may think. We have been able to view this trial from a different perspective than they have.

She didn't try to plea, she tried to blackmail the State/Alexander family into a 12yr sentence by saying she would drag TA's name and anyone who ever knew him through the mud. That's a promise she kept.

Why she can get away with this Twitter account, via Donavan or not, is beyond my scope. Free speech my ass. I hope the State can use it against her in any mitigation phase or at sentencing!

Hey guys. You can tell I'm not auditioning for anything. Who can hire someone who photographs like that? It was great to spend the day with Faq and also with Poppy when she came over to the courthouse later in the afternoon. The atmosphere outside the courtroom is one of relaxed apprehension. Expect the tension to increase as the waiting for a verdict drags on. It was worth waiting around to get a glimpse of the jury members as they left. I received especially courteous treatment from one of the security guards at the screening facility just inside the main entrance to the courthouse. A super nice staffer. As for the Jury, it was a quick glance but, from what I observed, they are all deliberately wearing their poker faces during their short, guarded, procession from the courtroom to the elevator. There is no way to interpret what they are thinking by looking at them.

Drove Jodi Arias's route from Palm Springs to Phoenix on Sunday. Lots and lots of gas stations on the way. Filled up in California just before I reached the Arizona border at $4.29 gal. Once I crossed into Arizona I noticed that the price was $3.49 gal. (Dumb me!). If this difference of 80 cents a gallon was the case back in 2008, Arias's story really takes a hit. Her story was that gas was cheaper in Utah and Nevada. Same applies to Arizona. Still she filled the cans in California! There's only one conclusion to draw from that fact.

Will probably go down to the courthouse in the a.m. to see this thing through.

Thanks! yes, they could be brothers. I mostly remember watching Juror 8 looking around the courtroom the day he was there. I was trying to figure out if his eyes darting around a lot were toward the jury, or the family or ???.

That's not really what he said. Both Martinez and Dr. Horn said that if the gun shot came first, Travis would have been incapacitated, not dead. He would not have been a threat to Jodi, he would not be chasing her, he would probably be unable to try and defend himself. He would still have been alive at that point, but unable to do the things Jodi claimed.

We know he was able to defend himself a little bit, because of the 2 or 3 defensive wounds on his hands -- probably from trying to grab the knife while she was plunging it into his chest.

When Martinez says that she killed him 3 times, he does not mean that the gun shot itself was fatal. In fact, the prosecution and the ME have never said that shot was fatal. It wasn't, because it was applied after death and/or after he was succumbing to fatal injuries; which the stab in the chest and the throat slash would have been. It was overkill, just one more attempt to make sure he was really and truly dead. No way in hell was Travis surviving the knife to the chest or the throat slash. Even if he would have been found soon after she attacked him, he wasn't making it; he was going to die. Therefore the final insult, the gun shot to the head was overkill.

I totally agree. Unfortunately, the county issued a statement saying they had looked into it and since she isn't directly Tweeting, there wasn't anything they could do about it.

That would be awesome, though, if somehow her words come back to bite her in the ass during sentencing...
