I think the camera in the washer was a complete accident. She somehow got it in there with the bedding AND I believe that's why the bedroom was such a mess she was looking frantically for it
Thank you so much for the link. Due to not being related, it looks like I can get only an informational copy. I'm not sure if that would include his birth time, but I'm going to call and find out tomorrow. It would be very interesting to get Jodi's s well. I'm going to do a little research and see what I can come up with. Again, thank you.
:o)
O my bad you guys know this case better than JM and I love that guy
, I'm getting it from the same report. To ENTER the skull, but then end up in the facial skeleton, it has to exit the skull. The "skull" here does not refer to the whole head which is why it's referred to as "facial skeleton". For want of a better description, the bullet entered his forehead at a downward & diagonal angle, smashed through his brow (bullethole) at an angle, lodging in his cheek. It was an odd angle & male foreheads are generally more robust (the skullbone is much thicker) in this area particularly & in general.
ETA In NO WAY AM I CLAIMING PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, I never completed my degree, but I do have a little background. The archaeology units I referred to earlier in the thread were taken purely for the excavation prac work. I was majoring in physical & forensic anthropology. So I didn't just think it up & spit it out at you, I spent a few hours with Krogman & Iscan & some anatomy texts. So please don't think I'm posting just so Crickets doesn't feel picked on. If I was so inclined I'd have backed everything VP & others said & I'd have a post count like many here. (the one subject I did end up knowing an awful lot about is Borneo tarsiers - useful! yes? soo if tarsiers ever happen to come up guys....funny the things that stick with you, when you can't remember where you put the fucking remote).
Anyway, if the ME has conceded that error, there could be more. They may have omitted a sentence that would make the whole issue crystal clear & confirm things ARE just as you all believe, however, that report, worded as it is , makes Crickets suggestion more likely than most others. It IS unfair to imply someone is stupid for reading a report corectly. & unless there's more missing, like a hole at the other end of this "path through the brain", then as far as my limited knowledge allows me to see, Crickets has read this report correctly & much as Dr Geffner did. Did the prosecution bring any of this up again after the M.E said it was a typo?
& to make it very very extra extra clear I agree no-one said it exited the body. Anywhere. NOR DID I. But to penetrate a skull, make a path through the brain & end up in the facial skeleton (& it's odd he didn't specify exactly where by naming the facial bone, because there's sure as hell more than one), at the end of this path through the brain it had to exit, to get out of the enclosed brain cavity & into the face. That is the exit/second hole. I f there is none, it has glanced diagonally through the thick, protected brow area.
I don't think we need to spend any more time on this, at least until it comes up on appeal. I'd like to say, this does NOT mean anyone who thinks the M.E screwed up also thinks Jodi should be set free. All it means is that someone should've been more thorough. It's the person who fucked up who is giving Jodi grounds for appeal. ®ardless of whether half the female court watchers want to jump him, if he's created grounds for appeal, he's the one who should bear the brunt of any anger. Not someone discussing it on an anonymous internet forum.

It's unfortunate we'll never know the truth. It's hard to think like JA. So trying to figure her motives and actions are impossible. I do believe Travis died for very immature reasons......Cancun ... Mimi.... Who knows. Trivial ....
New article regarding the robbery of Dr. Demarte's house. Seems the only thing that was taken was the laptop.

What has me scratching my head is why Nurmi lied about a different Walmart. I'm sure the jury remembers JM's cross of her. It made for a VERY dramatic moment in the trial. How could they forget it?! It was a "gotcha" moment. That had to have been Jodi's idea. I can't imagine why he would say it on his own...unless he was asleep that day.
@Blighted Star- yes there was an exit from the skull then into the sinus cavity.
The bullet pierced through the lower portion of the skull, the area where the frontal lobes are located (the anterior fossa) and the facial skeleton.
First page (item in bracket are my words):
On page four, there is more (Under gunshot wound of head, second paragraph, snipped slightly because I'm lazy):B. Perforation [punched through] of inferior skull base, anterior fossa, and facial skeleton.
The bullet had to punch through three different areas to end up where it did. I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I really think this is important: There is no way that the bullet ended up in Travis's cheek without the bullet piercing the skull. The wound track perforates the anterior frontal skull near the superior orbital bone and traverses the right anterior fossa ......The projectile re-enters the facial skeleton near the midline and the woundtrack terminates in the left cheek.
I admit, I am not an expert on anatomy, but I thought the anterior fossa is part of the bottom of the skull that cradles the brain, and is made of bone. So the bullet went through three bony structures (is that the proper medical term?) before it stopped. I can't remember if it stopped in the bone of his jaw, or just in the muscle near his left jaw.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Good find Mandy!! This is a known strategy then, as well as catching the defendant by surprise as in this clip, to get the defendant's dumbfounded reaction. Her reaction was cuckoo.
This is my recollection too. As I recall she said he tried to gather up the six or so photos but one floated to the floor "in the chaotic way that paper does" and she saw it was a young boy in his underwear. As if he would not have at least closed/locked his door in case a roommate came home? Such a bad, bad lie, but by then she knew the computer was clean of any kind of porn.
Also seems creepy that the first 2 and the last 2 of him alive were the ones with lights and or flash on. I hated during Nurmi's closing argument when he kept referring to the pics of his back, saying that if she wanted to kill hi, it would have happened then. I am sure she was getting ready to strike but probably had not yet got her nerve up. This would have been a good time to take the weapons oou of her purse/backpack.
NURMI' s showing of that shower picture of Travis and saying that is when she could have struck just shows the cruel lengths he was willing to go to to cause additional pain to the family. THE Defense team devalued Travis every single day they had the floor ....... Never expressing one sentiment of sorrow for the loss of this young man's life.
I will never accept the excuse that they were just doing their job. That excuse does not fly.
