Not to beat a dead horse, but Dr. Horn probably uses a report writer especially created for pathologists. Report writers are used all over health care instead of dictated reports and/or handwritten reports that are transcribed later. The way these reports work are by defaulting to a "within normal limits". So the user would click or place a check mark if the item is abnormal. When you click or check the box or item, it opens a dialog box that allows a description of the abnormal item. That is why he said it was a typo.
She will be brought to the court house and put in a holding cell each day with her sack lunch.. She will be able to meet with her legal team but I doubt family/friends can visit her at the court house.
Let's hope the Judge makes her sit up and pay attention. When the verdict is read in court she will have to stand with her legal team while it's being read. Hoping for a stun belt demo right after that. When the Judge pronounces her sentence she certainly won't be doodling1
creating a ruse to kill someone is second degree murder? Oh puhlease!
The below is fan fiction and it didn't require sex!
Juan Martinez says she planned the murder starting on May 26th.
Jodi looks up.
This time we feel a sudden wave of cold static. Then we see the switch.
See her skin go slick and buttery. We watch her jaw reshape and her coloring stop. Then Jodi's eyes begin to drift apart.
The right eye unplugs and drifts lazy to the edge of the table, reading the darkness there, tracking the back and forth and back. The left eye watches him. Peeking at him and the photo of Travis's back. The wax head twists and turns to the gallery. It mouths something. We've seen it do this before. it doesnt remind us of anything human.
Sitting next to her are her attorneys. The court officer with his finger on the stun button. Her mom, aunt, brother, and grandmother sit behind her and to the left along with donovan her only friend in the world. We arent feeling any kind of fear. They don't sense evil in the woman in front of them. It's not rage or murderous lust. its blankness, a horrible nothing. A wall has fallen. There is nothing behind it. In this moment we know. Jodi is not Jodi. We never knew her, it is because there is nothing to know.
I looked at the specs for a 2008 on Edmunds (and others) and it said 13... actually 13.5.

Freaking double post! Grrrrr![]()
Yah. I agree with that. It just seems more obvious with the woman det. Im on 8 now, and it seems like Stabby is talking more, and I actually feel like she is being honest here. she is talking about how good Travis was to a homeless person, and the hungry animals. but earlier in this tape and the end of 7 I heard stabby say something that Travis was violent and left bruises, but the woman det. planted the seed first. Im not sure what to make of her (stabby at this moment.)
Good catch, I had forgotten about that.
Me either, and we discuss this case day and night on the forum. What are the chances the jurors remember (unless it was the very juror who asked the question).
Yep. I think there is usually a tiny nugget of truth in most of her stories. Perhaps 99% lies and 1% truth.
I find that unlikely, in part because of his arm position in the seated photo. If he had already been shot, I think his arms would either be up to his head, where the wound was, or would have fallen to his sides, if he was in shock or incapacitated? Instead, they are clearly both extended out in front of him and resting on his knees.
Don't worry, the chances of any of the jurors being familiar with John Donne and his work are very small. American schools don't teach the classics.
Good explanation, Poppym.
My impression is that the "bell tolls" portion is referring to funeral bells. In Donne's time, they rang the church bells in a certain way to indicate someone had died. Since there was no TV or daily newspapers delivered to homes, the church bells were sort of a public announcement system. They announced someone had died, but not who had died. So people hearing the bells might be curious and 'send' a servant to the church to find out who had died.
I think Juan was intending that the 'funeral bell' reference should apply to Jodi. Telling the jury that if they get it right, the bell will be tolling for Jodi.
Were you crying when you were stabbing him? --SuperJuan Martinez
Nobody believes a word out of your mouth. Why do you keep talking? -- ABC Interviewer to JA
I know there's a separate thread for it... but since it's a non-court day I want to put my verdict prediction up:
this Wednesday before lunch. press me and I'll say 10:30 am AZ time.
1. and no one knows if that one particular juror is in the final 12
2. first his legs are not crossed as some have said... they're just tightly tucked at a severe angle... what's seen in that photo is his right calf pressed against the upper part of his right leg. His arms are actually casually draped or resting over his bent knees. It's a shower stall his knees are probably pushed against the wall of the shower thus the "crouch" position. I agree Brillig, IMO this photo preceeds any injury.
He could be under duress/threat... that's possible...

I believe funeral bells is the interpretation. As a child going to Catholic school the church bells would toll for funeral masses during the week........ a very mournful sound and that quote evokes that memory to me
"Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves" .. Confucius
"The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation " ...... Henry David Thoreau
Sorry BRILLIG. I so messed up my last post in response to yours regarding the Donne poem. ..... so sorry I really bungled it up but good.
I am going to put my kindle down for awhile.

Sorry if this has been asked before. Can the jury rewatch videos shown in court? Like interrogation videos, interviews, etc.
I know they can request testimony transcripts be read back. Would the attys have to discuss if videos are requested?
