Do we have any idea if Nurmi will be required to end today and have Juan do his redirect today? I'm curious if this will be going to the jury tonight or do we have to wait until Monday..
I know no one knows for sure but I wish the judge would put a time limit on him. or at least say "we are staying until this is over" like she did on Wednesday. I bet if Nurmi knew that no matter what it was going to the jury today, he would take less time than if he thought he could drag it out until monday.

nurmi can go on about as long as he wants - judge can't curtail his closing, that would be an automatic appeal - so idk how long he will go

Ok so I know this case is emotional and some people are really invested etc. but absolutely NOONE has said Nurmi is doing fabulous. Some of us just don't want to completely bash the defence, sorry. Yes her story is a crock of shit, I believe that. But, I also believe the defence are doing their best with what they have. You have to remember this is their jobs, their livelyhoods. It put's food on their table. Are they supposed to just sit there, not give a shit and not even try to win? If there is a juror who is undecided, that's who they're trying to sway. The prosecution has made it a point to nail it down that Jodi had this planned for a long time. So by him bringing up the points that she didn't hide it well, and didn't kill him when he was turned away/asleep, he is making an effective point. Personally, I think Jodi wanted Travis to see her and know what was coming. Kind of like a last fuck you, I got the better of you kind of thing. But, don't forget, the jurors are not privy to the same amount of information we are. This is why I have predicted second degree murder because there is a chance that one or more of the jurors are just not going to be convinced beyond a reasonable doubt of premeditation.

Today is torture. Juan was riveting ... even tho I am a fan of his there was one cringe worthy moment yesterday when he stared Arias had left Travis's body in a frog like position in the shower. The camera was panning the siblings and the youngest sister's little face crumpled. I am sure this afternoon will be worse for the family. And really was it necessary to pull up the naked picture of JA again? That was kind of gratuitous

Nurmi said that Jodi never said she returned the can to that same Walmart, and that there were many Walmarts along the way where she could have done so.
Jodi said on the stand with Martinez that it was the same Walmart.

The gas can lie is that Nurmi told the jurors today that Jodi never testified that she took the gas can back to the same store and that she was in a lot of different towns and could have taken it back elsewhere. However, it is clear by this video compiling her testimony regarding that issue that she definitely said it was the same store.

I cannot believe Nurmi lied to the jury about the gas cans... I wonder if the jury is allowed to review the transcripts of the testimony so they can corroborate that indeed she said she returned it to the SAME store

yhe red car theory is in reference to speeding and the police pulling you over.I stand here in my front door to my store and there are 3 red cars parked on the block and they pose no such alarm,now a bright yellow one that's different.Your correct there are cameras at convienence stores but finding those is like a needle in a haystack.They usually are erased every 3-4 days as well.A credit card plants you there at a time and a place.Where was Valeros tape?

That Stabby brought it back to the OTHER Walmart (there are 2 in that town).
I'm wondering if Juan predicted with all her lies that they might try this and investigated that second Walmart as well.
I think that Nurmi is just highlighting the reasons that makes JM's case so strong. He keeps pointing to "well, she could have done THIS....or could have done THAT, if she was on a covert mission!" The gun....he points out that she could have taken one from the gun cabinet....and no one would have ever known it was gone! You are right, Nurmi.....she could have! But this was premeditated, so she didn't. The first place they searched was where she lived, once they arrested her. Grandpa would have noticed his gun was missing, then. Much better to be able to say "it was taken in a robbery...we filed a report, see!" I must admit that I'm waiting for the DT to give me an ounce of something that my mind could find rational or believable. I am not seeing it, and I know this is his chance to give it his best shot. I just don't think they have anything. Also, Jodi said, many times over, that she returned the gas can to the same place as she bought it. JM was careful to make certain of that. Yet, Nurmi is now throwing out "we really don't know where she brought it back....." And his references to JM as "Columbo" are irritating. Not professional, and not making any sense.
