Jodi has gotten a fair trial with competent counsel, but it doesn't always work out that way. I think their is a bias in this country when it comes to the victims of the crime. When a child is murdered or a victim is considered a contributing member of society (successful, religious, wealthy), the public demands justice. But when the victims are considered "bad", we either don't take an interest or the media doesn't advertise.
I am not asking you to agree with me, but I would ask you to think about it.
Would we be watching if Travis was an unemployed heroin addict? Would we be screaming for Jodi's head on a plate if she was a prostitute and Travis was her pimp?

And people are forgetting the rest of the ME's report, where he mentions the path of the bullet, and where there was damage. Quite clearly the bullet penetrated the skull. It IS in the medical examiner's report. People just want to ignore it in order to try to prop the defense up.

That's very possible, but didn't we also have members here with professional experience say they'd been surprised by the lack of bleeding from gunshot wounds (possibly to the head, but I can't remember for sure & can't be bothered hunting down the post). The woman I saw shot in the head didn't seem to bleed much, although admittedly I was more focused at the time on locking us into our glass fishbowl of an office so he couldn't come after anyone else. There wasn't much left on the pavers in the courtyard after the ambo's took her, so maybe it's true? At least in some cases?
Jodi and her attorneys are the ones who made their sex lives a front and center issue, not the prosecution. Not only did they make it a huge issue, but they have also used that in an attempt to smear TA's reputation. So what is the prosecution supposed to do with that? Ignore it?I find his language and mentality coarse, especially for an attorney. A lawyer works with words like a builder works with bricks. His analogies are half-formed or needlessly obscure (wildebeast? how about 'stampede' so they are sure to understand). He often launches into a sentence he can't complete without turning to passive voice or awkward wordings. He overemphasizes the few five dollar words he uses and fumbles the subsequent words. He's also way too preoccupied with the dirty aspects of their sex life.
Martinez talks and acts more like a cop than a slick lawyer. Probably because he hangs out with cops and has that mentality. He would be better served to use simpler arguments and avoid contrived phrasings.

Today in closing arguments, when JM was talking about Jodi saying she returned the gas can to the same Salinas Walmart she purchased it from and Nurmi objected saying it wasn't in evidence. I have a feeling this will come up in his closing tomorrow.

And as the judge instructed, you can believe none, part, or all of any testimony of a witness. But this witness not only has his report (where said typo is located) but the physical evidence of the crime scene photos and autopsy photos to back up his opinion. It is not evidence, like ALV gave....which is based on opinion that cannot be backed up with physical evidence. I am fairly sure that Dr. Horn didnt even need to say a word for anybody to figure out what happened to this poor guy. I am just amazed that some people can hold their thumb towards the sky, and convince themselves that maybe the sun doesn't exist!

I actually agree with much of what you have stated.
I agree that the American justice system is excellent, and people work hard to maintain it. My comments were not meant in any way to knock the system. I was defending it. I do think the system favors the accused, but I think it is designed that way, and I do not think it is a bad thing. As Benjamin Franklin said, "it is better than 100 guilty men go free than that one innocent person should suffer". That principle is a cornerstone of our criminal justice system, as well it should be.
The point I was trying to make is that even though many posters think the defendant has too many rights, that there are valid reasons why the system is set up that way, important reasons.
I agree that the public is more interested in cases where the defendant or victim is rich, or famous, or attractive, or especially tragic, or where the details of the crime are titillating. That is human nature. But what the media or public is most interested in is not what determines who does or does not get a fair trial. It is more a reflection of our culture than of the judicial system.

I was a little bit worried about this gas can issue, but after seeing your video now I dont have any doubts that she accepts she returned it to the SAME walmart (minute 3:48), so if tomorrow they attempt to even mention that she returned it to other Walmart that will further prove he is lying
I think she was possibly talking about June 2007 when he caught her cheating on her on his text messages.
