I'm waiting for him to call Dr. Demarte "one of those young whipper-snappers".

How 'bout Doc G trying to wipe his hands entirely clean of Arias ....
Nope I didn't diagnose her, I just read the reports of what the other doctors reported.
He reviewed Dr JD diagnosis of BPD & "his" opinion is she does not have an understanding of how these tests are used because they are outdated. Her MCMI is questionable.
THIS being said by a doctor who has NEVER met nor spoke to the murderess

She has touted herself as a professional photographer (laughable) and a talented artist (possible,) though she has clearly shown herself unable to remain focused long enough, to stay grounded long enough (literally and figuratively), to hone her artistic skills, e.g. taking art classes, immersing herself in the artistic community, etc. She even at one point expressed a desire to work toward a real estate license, back when she was living with Darryl. She dumped that notion at the same time she dumped him, and just as quickly.

Like having chosen to drop out of high school, despite her clear intelligence, it appears that JA has, historically, chosen to take the lazy way out. Waitressing, for her, was merely a means by which she could minimally support herself while pursuing her vagabond, drifter/grifter lifestyle, taking on and quitting numerous food service related jobs up and down the state of CA for almost a decade.
there are alot of young people who are just lost and drift through life, especially here in California. There's been alot of talk about her parents not caring. She most likely was a latchkey kid who's parents worked crazy restrurant hours,They worked to provide for their kids but never spent much time with them.Their job was done when she became of age and became rebellious.

2 gunshot wounds that he is basing his testimony on? And what study group is that based upon, with comparison to all known similar injuries, Doc?

wait - so he says she couldn't have bpd because it would have to be a combo of tests and interviews and research, which she did and he did not, but he is saying she found bpd based on only the test - wtf is he talking about!!!

Maybe. Maybe not. That is good enough for the defense team. Medical Examiners only have dead patients. They really should have a trauma surgeon testify about the possibility because they see gunshot victims in the raw state, and yes they do live.

I don't trust The State. They changed their story. Cops lie. Prosecutors lie. The ME changed his testimony and lied about what he told Flores when. They had such a strong case with great evidence. Why did they have to do that?

Just the appearance of inconsistency and changing story takes away their credibility. The State will do anything to get their conviction.

This witness is massive. He comes across as more objective than just about anyone. He is giving his opinion on black and white stuff. And he's not going out on a limb at all. The defense is using him to highlight all the flaws and holes in the prosecution case and I think it is working.

Yes. If not for the DP factor, all of this testimony should not have been allowed.

JW is seriously being a tease today. She keeps asking questions that make it seems like she's wrapping up but then Geffner just keeps droning on and on and on......

sigh. enough with the sustained objections and willmott asking to approach! Sustained means you can't ask about that anymore. Move on!!

Dr. Geffner says Dr. Demarte's testing is "outdated". This coming from someone who doesn't know how how move a computer cursor.

he didn't examine Stabby and he didn't examine TA's body but Dr Demarte is wrong and Dr Horne is wrong. Maybe he can tell us why Gabby Giffords didn't up and tackler Jared Loughner?

that's if all that fit nicely into that little package which it doesn't have to

But Horne said 30yr old's brain would have been pressed up against the inside of the skull. So No room for the bullet to miss the brain. Have you read his autopsy report?

Thanks for the quick link sneakers!!

So going over the Autopsy Report, this is the only findings Dr. Horne writes about TA's brain:

"The wound track perforates the anterior frontal skull near the the superior orbital bone and traverses the right anterior fossa, without gross evidence of significant intracranial hemorrahage or apparent cerebral injury (although examination of brain tissue is somewhat limited by the decomposed nature of the remains). The projectile re-enters the facial skeleton near the midline and the wound track terminates in the left cheek."

There is more about the gunshot wound, but this is the only part the discuss' the brain.

So Dr. Horne made no remarks about the Dura Matter! BOOM!!
