In reality this case has no magnitude. Some crazy chick stabbed her boyfriend. It's nothing that will change law, or society, or set a precedent.

Exactly. It is only the viewers that make it news for halfass programs like HLN. Most the country could care less, its only a limited number of followers compared to many other cases.

I don't understand why they would give this important DP case to a first time judge??! She's being overly cautious for appellate reasons, but they should have gotten a judge much more experienced with a DP case of this magnatude.

ALL DP are important, this one isn't special. Every lost life has value. This is a good case for a beginner to start with, overwhelming evidence she did it. JSS would be here a year if this was a complicated case.

Yup. The photographer label plays to her delusions and sense of importance. The press added a whole new layer of satisfaction to the slaughter for Arias by fulfilling her dream of being called 'an artist'. It is infuriating.

As for being a waitress, it is employment. I did this work part time for a while when studying at university. It was the hardest physical work I have ever done in my life. Arias does seem to have worked consistently from a young age. Multiple jobs too. Despite that, she has often been criticised over work. I must have missed the many gaps. Has anyone posted a CV for her? I am interested in the perception and the reality. There are many valid reasons for being scathing of Arias. Is her work one?

If the public wasn't giving ratings to 'news' it would equal no press, they would have died out. It's the viewers and posters that give this killer and her 'art' attention.

I think she flirted money out of older men. Look at the guy who "loaned" her 800 dollars for her emergency trip to Mesa. He says she paid him back, but I don't believe that. She had no money; she barely worked; her car was being repossessed. I think he probably just said that because he didn't want to be sucked into the case; not that I could blame him.

I don't think anyone is criticizing her being a waitress. I protest the fact that media portray her as an "aspiring photographer" or "professional photographer" . I didn't see anyone disparaging waitressing. I don't even know if Stabby was a good one, I don't care. she was NOT a professional photographer. she was a waitress with a nice camera. period.

My remark wasn't aimed at your comment. That seems perfectly fair. It is an impression I have from reading this forum only. I'd like to see her CV and work history as I have definitely seen it implied that her jobs were of little value or her contributions financially meaningless. Arias deserves criticism on numerous grounds. I just wondered if her work record was one of them.
