I thought a while ago why didn't she purposely get pregnant, or say it to him. My mom (who is into this case) said "she wouldn't do that. It's all about herself. She wouldn't want a baby." I agreed, and I think to Stabby she either said it, or was like a day late that month and claimed she was pregnant to trap him, since nothing else was working. He was moving on.
But man, that email Travis sent her was SPOT on!!! He was done with her. Unfortunate for him this bitch didn't do the normal thing most of us do with a broken heart. He didn't think she was capable of slaughtering him.
I don't get this judge at all. The whole purpose of allowing the counter-rebuttal witness was to address new information -- i.e., the BPD. The Defense already had their crack at claiming DV and PTSD, by TWO of their own witnesses, as well as the ability to cross-exam the prosecution expert, Dr. D. Defense doesn't like how that went, no kidding. That doesn't mean they get to keep calling witnesses to claim the same (disproven) thing over and over and over. Their case was rested. Enough.

Can't figure out what is aggravating me more.....this completely inane line of questioning or Peg Bundy's bald spot.
Anyone with low self esteem would not have acted that way on cross exam by JM and wouldn't be setting there acting like she is right now, so smug and telling JW how to run the show.
I know I have made a lot of posts today and I am determined to cut them down, but I just had to respond to this one.
Quite a few years ago, I caught a documentary called Paradise Lost and it was all about these 3 young boys that were supposedly murdered by 3 whacked-out, satanic-worshipping teen-agers. Over the years, I really became more than a little obsessed with the case and the defendants who are now known as The West Memphis 3. I would urge anyone and everyone to really look at that case for a good example of all kinds of law fuckery from both sides.
I don't mean to bring up another case in the JA/TA thread, but I want to show you that good and bad examples of our laws are all around us. IMO, just that we can share our opinions and theories in this forum is awesome. Even more incredible, is that a case like this can bring many ordinary people (like us) together for other good things. Maybe supporting a DV shelter, volunteering time, or even giving a little cash to the Alexander family.... This is what is important.
Not trying to soapbox here, but that is Travis' legacy.... Remember what he wrote in his blog the year he died: Something like "love more, give more, learn more, etc"
That is what we get to do. That is pretty fucking cool, if you ask me and most of us would never know if it weren't for this case.
Sorry, didn't mean to go off on a tangent and I do respect all of the opinions in this forum.
What's with all the big chuckles in court? I don't get it.
I think she flirted money out of older men. Look at the guy who "loaned" her 800 dollars for her emergency trip to Mesa. He says she paid him back, but I don't believe that. She had no money; she barely worked; her car was being repossessed. I think he probably just said that because he didn't want to be sucked into the case; not that I could blame him.

Yup. The photographer label plays to her delusions and sense of importance. The press added a whole new layer of satisfaction to the slaughter for Arias by fulfilling her dream of being called 'an artist'. It is infuriating.
As for being a waitress, it is employment. I did this work part time for a while when studying at university. It was the hardest physical work I have ever done in my life. Arias does seem to have worked consistently from a young age. Multiple jobs too. Despite that, she has often been criticised over work. I must have missed the many gaps. Has anyone posted a CV for her? I am interested in the perception and the reality. There are many valid reasons for being scathing of Arias. Is her work one?

I was unable to watch this morning, but did scan the board every once in awhile. JW can yammer on all she wants, Martinez is only going to need about 5 minutes on cross exam to refute all this crap.
Blaming the victim is an age old tactic. It continues because, juries have devalued lives in the past. How can murdering a child in any way find loop holes, how can slaughtering a homeless person enter in vs a 'good citizen' etc. There is also anti DP supporters and that movement is strong. Then we know not everyone operates with common sense so teams inject into impressionable minds the unspoken theory that some how, this life wasn't a great loss aka deserved what they got. LAW isn't about the truth and the whole truth, we don't let in most of the real truths. LAW is anything but a 'fair' game. It's who can play it the best by manipulating it wins points. sigh .. Every profession has low life assholes because they are made up of humans and there is no freedom anywhere from that kind of corrpution.
It needs people willing to work hard for change, to fight for the things they believe in and not sit quietly on the sidelines. Trust me, that can take years of emotional exhausting work. Few step up to the plate.
