The defense strategy is pretty clear here. The more time Wilma spends talking to Doctor Stache, the less time Martinez has for cross exam and his rerererebuttal witness.
The other brilliant thing that Nurmi has done is turn the trial into Psychotherapy Expert Wars. None of this stuff matters, it just distracts from the murder. I think it could help the defense is she is borderline, it makes her seem crazy and less culpable. We are spending so much time evaluating Jodi's personality that she must be important and it's going to be really hard for the jury to kill her.
