There was nothing remotely scientific about the rebuttal case regarding the closet and gun. Jodi's stories are not likely to be true, but the prosecution did not disprove them.
1. The tipping shelf - do a real scientific demo and see what happens. My guess is that a woman could run up, jump, put a foot on the shelf and reach anything in the closet. No breaking, no tipping. Why did they have a cop take photographs and then tip the shelf with a hand? That demo is nothing like what really happened. They don't want to show that Jodi's story might actually work.
2. The trajectory - we are talking about two people and a gun all moving in all directions in space. There is no scientific way, with what we know on this forum, to say it was not possible. Depending on the angle and posture of the people involved, I believe Jodi's account is possible. Not likely, but possible.
3. The gun - you can't prove somebody didn't have a gun. I don't think he did have a gun and the questions here were good to make her story seem more fanciful. Love the holster question.
4. The Wal-mart Return - not sure why Nurmi didn't get up and at least ask, did anyone ever get cash back for a non cash purchase in the history of Walmart? Has anyone ever forgotten to mark a reciept on a return in the history of Walmart? Could the cashier have made a mistake with the cash drawer open, has it ever happened once in the history of Walmart? Has anyone ever forgot to scan the item or scanned the wrong item or made some other mistake in your massive busy store? No further questions.
The conclusion of the rebuttal case for me then is - most of what Jodi said is at best very unlikely, at worst an outright lie. Combine the remote possibility of all those scenarios happening together to one person, and her story falls apart. Now it's up to the jury to decide how much weight to place on the distractions in the case about sex, religion, abuse, psychology, and their turbulent relationship.
I just hope the jury is good enough to see through the BS.. some of it, I would think there is no way that they could be buying it!

Also, If it at the angle stabby says, it would have gone out the backside of his brain, not the front. that angle is impossible as she describes it, it is OPPOSITE of how the bullet lodged. she would have had to be behind him at the angle it actually went. but then, maybe it WAS the JFK magic bullet

I have served on a number of jurors. We were instructed that if you find that a witness lied in part of their testimony, you may exclude part or ALL of their testimony. If the jury decided to exclude all of Jodi's testimony, then all of the "abuse", all of the "self-defense" is out of the window.
What would be left is evidence of a horrific one-sided attack and murder of the victim. And evidence that Jodi is the murderer, and evidence that it was not only premeditated but also heinous.
