Hate to burst you clowns bubble but I'll give you a lesson in Statics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statics for most of you, since you probably have no fucking clue what it means) & Mechanics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mechanics . The shelf above appears to have the pins about 1" in from the edge. In order for it to tip over, the tip of the foot would have to be just on the edge. The further in the foot is, the less likely it is to tip. If the foot is a few inches in from the edge, there is no way it will tip forward. The heel doesn't have to be over the pin either. It would most likely come crashing straight down from the weight as the pins would give way. However, if you distribute your weight between it and one you have your hand on, reach up and grab something off a higher shelf, you will only be on ift for a split second and your momentum going up will lessen the load on the shelves. If the pin was 4 inches in from the front, it would be a different story.

The palm of the hand in the picture is placed on the very edge, pushing at an angel to best make the shelf tip. Couldn't be any more blatant.

yeah, you're right, stabby and her mortal fear had that kind of time to figure out how to distribute her weight correctly so as not to tip it. I am sure she looked where the pins were placed before taking pictures, just in case he "flipped out" when she dropped the camera... riiiiigt.

(5) Admitted to God, and to each other when we made up rubbish on the thread.
(6) Were entirely ready to be corrected by other members.
(7) Humbly asked the MODs to remove our made up rubbish.
(8) Made a list of all thread members we had pissed off.
(9) Made direct amends to such members, except when to do so would clog the thread with more rubbish.
(10) Continued to study the facts of the case, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it (or ignored it).
(11) Sought through Google and Youtube to improve our conscious contact with each other.
(12) Having had a good bitch and moan that the trial is over, we tried to carry the message that there will be other trials, and we can all chin wag together again.

I don't believe anyone in the Arias family believes Jodi is a victim of domestic violence. They all know this is bullshit and yet they are demeaning real victims of DV, plus Travis' family with those disgusting ribbons.

Jodi's parents know she wasn't abused. They know she was not right in the head for a long time. They said so. They said she was a liar. They said she was abusive towards her mother; physically assaulted her. They damn well know Jodi is no victim. Jodi's mom knew she did this before Jodi even admitted it.

And unless grandma is at an age where senility is setting in, she knows this too. Jodi lived with her for quite some time. She knows who and how Jodi is.

I'm not a grandma-hater or anti-elderly, not whatsoever. But, I can't just give anymore than 50-50 as to whether she just doesn't know any better, or whether she knows what Jodi is and is still willing to support her murdering someone and dragging him through the mud, because Jodi is her granddaughter.

Anyone who was around Jodi, even for short periods of time, knew how she was. All of Travis' friends, they knew this was Jodi's crime. Her family knew her much better, they know what is what.

There is of course a matter of "denial". But, 5 years of denial? 5 years of lie upon lie and story after story? No, they know exactly who Jodi is, and they know she is guilty.

I feel sorry to her family, in a general way, that they have such a monster among them. But, I don't feel sorry that they are supporting her and what she did to Travis.

If Jodi is on death row, she can drag out her appeals for 30 years, so far as I am concerned, because having to be alone with herself with nobody to manipulate or interact with would be a terrible punishment for her. That is why I pray the verdict is death, even if it is never carried out. This isolation is what she deserves.

Tanisha wants death and said she'll wait for it to be there no matter how long it takes. I hope the family gets what they want. Time doesn't matter, if she gets life it's still years and years so why not the DP and cut those years short.

EVER. so she was walking now? k. more indication of premeditation then. you just said it. she would have had to evaluate the mechanics involved with that shelving, specifically. measure shelves, gather measurements of foot. figure out physics of exactly WHERE to place foot on that shelf to get up and grab the well remembered gun, and do it so neatly and smoothly as to NOT disturb anything in closet, ... genius.

I agree about the ribbons and in general. No one could force me to wear one under the same situation. I know I couldn't not be there for my kid no matter what they did, but I wouldn't support them by lying, trying to sell trash to rag mags or wear a victims ribbon even if they were abused.. she's alive! That's a hell of a lot better than the buterching she did.

I can see anyone wanting to be there for family, it's HOW they are they that is offending people. JAs mom can't be too 'simple' in the head, they ran their own business and she became a dental hygenists or something like that.
