Just want to take a moment to acknowledge those here that knew TA and JA.

Today was a great day for the State and therefore TA as well. TA's family and friends, loved by him and loved in return, have waited nearly 5 years for justice to be served.

I hope the jury does the right thing and convicts her on premeditated murder. If they do that then justice will be served whether she serves LWOP (as some wag said "Life without pencils) or receives the DP.

No, it is NOT relevant because she never claimed there was a gun there until YEARS after the murder. Why when the entire crime and all the evidence took place in the bathroom and hallway to the bedroom would they take a picture of the top shelf of the closet or check there for proof of a gun that never existed? THAT is the issue.

And, to go back and do so now would be ridiculous – it has been 4.5 years and there are new owners in the home.

They had no reason to focus on examining the dust in the top corner shelf of a closet for a gun that wasn’t mentioned until years later.

Now see, this is jmo, but I tend to think the witness time conflict means it is the defense's witness, because he was apparently contacted with short notice, whereas Martinez has had his list of rebuttal witnesses lined up.

Also, I can't help but feel that there is no remaining Martinez witness that would require an entire court day for direct/cross, considering how the rest of this has gone.

I hope I'm wrong, but I think we are looking at the defense witness on Wednesday.

But other than a forensic/psych witness, who would it be? I was thinking, hoping perhaps MM was unavailable until next week?.

And the judge told the jury they should plan on a long, long day on Wednesday, staying possibly after 5pm, so I'm thinking it's either someone looming very large in the case, (MM, I know I'm hoping, hehe) or a tech/forensic witness; be it if for the defense or prosecution, involving a lengthy cross/re-direct.

If it makes anyone feel better, I'm streaming on Wild About Trial, and after the seal went up on the last break, I was sitting just looking at the screen and the picture of Flores tilting the shelf by placing the heel of his hand on the edge came up. It lasted about 30 secs. or so then went back to the seal. It showed the front of the shelf tilted forward and the back tilted up. All that was shown of Flores was the cuff of his blue shirt, his wrist and his hand.
