I honestly don't see how the defense could prevent the prosecution from presenting its case. If these witnesses don't get let in AND the defense gets to add manslaughter and have a surrebuttal case - thats just wrong
I wonder if one of the other 5 is someone from cancun PPL? This witness would probably show that JA was initially on the cancun trip but was replaced with Mimi Hall in May (2008). I could see the defense wanting to keep them out because it would show motivation!

Video played on Dr. Drew of Travis talking about rolling his snowmobile made me very sad. He was so laid back about it. His friend told Dr. Drew that if he could roll a snowmobile and not loose it, he would never have lost it over a dropped camera because he handled things in that nature with a joke or a laugh. It was life.

YES !!! I started to think they are doing this on purpose, so we (or media) does not have 1st shot at seeing "new" oddities from Arias or it's defense team. So IF something happens they've caught it but haven't yet aired it to the public, so they can be the first to show us something new??

I googled Suzie Dittman and came up with someone who is a Fraud Investigator for JP Morgan, out of Phoenix, AZ. Could this be the woman on the witness list? What would she be doing in this trial?

Nancy Grace said that Stabby was begging the judge to allow manslaughter in jury instructions. So, the defense can argue it in closing. Apparently the judge is taking every precaution to avoid an overturn on appeal. No one wants this case to come back for a retry.

JA purposely recorded this call knowing full well she'd start up a sex conversation so she could dangle this little piece of "black mail" (along w/ whatever else she was threatening him with).
It is so clear when you listen to this conversation, she lures him into her sexual fantasy world then makes him repeat his words when she finds them to be compelling, making sure they are taped & clear, just to throw these words back into his face, likely threatening to expose him in some deranged way.
She even plotted it her writings in her "conjured" up journals... same thing to the effect of I lost my cell phone it had a very steamy recording on it as well as text messages that would make ?something? look g-rated.

I just re-watched a few minutes of HLN showing when Stabby is pretending to cry today. She made a good faith attempt and used a tissue to wipe absolutely nothing from her face. She then shot a sly look at the jury to make sure they noticed. THIS is why I absolutely despise this sneaky, conniving killer bitch. No tears whatsoever. I think she is practicing making her nose red.

I think she rubs it to make it red. I started to think she was remembering what he was talking about in that video - he was talking about surviving a killing. Would love to know what the jurors will think after the trial is over and they get to hear what he was really saying there.

I couldn't bare the thought of his family going through this all over again, it's draining on me & what I know of Travis started when the trial did in January.
AND of course she wouldn't stick to this story it is just as lame ass'd as the other ones. She would likely change it once again, adding things to more fit her 4th conjured up story. She is a born liar & I don't think it is something she can shake.

I think it was a good day for court today. Even if the DT does get the re-rebut it doesn't change the fact that she brutally slaughtered the man, and lied to the jury's face under oath. If they want to prolong the inevitable that is their problem. And I hope the jury saw her smiling and laughing with Wilmott today...I'm glad that she thinks murder and lying under oath is so funny.

What do you think about this "unpardonable offense" Travis mentioned in his email? Looking at how things turned out, I wonder if it is guilt over having a physical relationship that was then made somewhat public in the church, and not getting married. It must have affected future Mormon marriage prospects for both of them, maybe the woman more than the man.

I honestly think it was exactly what Deanna said.... Travis soaked up all her prime husband hunting years, and never married her. By the time they were 'done" she was older than is optimal for getting a husband in LDS circles. As far as she and Travis having a physical relationship, I do not believe that was made public. They confessed in private to their bishops, they were not put in the stocks in the town square or anything.

I agree completely. I honestly think the whole tape was a set up. I feel positive it was NOT something Travis knew about or wanted to make to "listen to later", that is absurd. I have been in long distance relationships where we, um, 'talked on the phone', and while it can be 'enjoyable' in the moment, there is no way listening to it later would be 'hot'. . So that whole story of Jodi's (that Travis wanted the tape to listen to later) seems nonsensical to me.

Also, even if by some strange chance Travis did want to listen to a phone sex tape later, and asked for it to be recorded, and knew it was being recorded.... WHY then would he stray off into other topics?? That makes less than zero sense. "Yeah, I really want to listen to all this extraneous chit chit later, that'll be hot".... ummm, NO.

I think Jodi recorded the tape without his knowledge or consent. He sounds clumsy and uncomfortable. She is obviously leading him. I even think it is possible she might have planted some ideas in advance, for things he should bring up. It would not be hard to do. "Hey, hottie biscotti, make sure you bring up 12 year old girls, that's hot, it'll turn me on! And say you want to tie me to a tree and put it in my ass.... that would be so hot too! Tee hee hee.".

Awesome day. Travis didnt hide Jodi until everyone hated her, no gas can return, almost 23 gallons of gas, no porn anywhere in Travis's computer, cd's or jump drives and Deanna. Like each of you have said, Deanna was a lady and did the right thing. It could not have been easy...but she did give Nurmi the death ray glare (hopefully some hit Jodi) and she never stuttered. She was clearly embarrassed, her neck was pink. I dont know that I could have testified to my sex life in front of millions of people.

....and from that information, it's easy enough to step into Travis's shoes at that moment and let go of all the restraints that were part of his character and, uncharacteristically, just explode. Travis treated Arias as though she was his most intimate confidante then suddenly came to the full realization that she was nothing but a destructive alien presence in his life! To his detriment, he couldn't maintain that view for more than a few days. When his inherent character took back over, he allowed his natural disbelief in the possibility that devils like her actually walked the earth to re-establish itself within him. He opened the door to her a few days later and that was the end of him.

You can see from his writings about his mother that he perceived harm as coming only from persons affected by some externally induced phenomenon. The evil was the drugs, not the mother. He lived with that conviction and it served him well. The concept, revealed in his e-mail 'rant' with Arias, that someone could be perpetually and inherently evil to the core was alien to him and not one he could sustain. In a nutshell, Travis was unable to surrender his belief in the essential goodness of people. A perfect target for a Psycho! Even while Arias was murdering him, Travis manifested his disbelief in the presence of pure evil by turning to her for help.

Very true. I havn't read all the txts/emails he sent, but somewhere in this thread someone said that amongst the insults he threw at her was something like "corrupt carcass". That really struck me when I read it. I've known someone who sounds similar to the descriptions I've read of Jodi. This person's never been diagnosed as anything & I'm in no way going to claim the knowledge to label them myself. What limited reading I've done tells me narcissism could be a possibility, so could BPD but I know there are many more possibilities I'm clueless about.

All I can say for sure is they don't behave the way most people do & lies &violent outbursts are as natural to this person as smiles are to most of us. Something I've noticed them do when angry though, is take very literal revenge for anything they see as a personal attack. Like I said, I don't know enough to say this person has a real similarity to Jodi at all. But that comment (if it was accurate & I've recalled it correctly) just kind of bothers me given how & why the person I know reacts (they're always saying "tit for tat" afterwards) & what happened to Travis so soon after he said that to Jodi.

Yes, I would like to hear from them right after the verdict and then again after they watch all of the videos and coverage. I have no idea what it is like to sit in court and listen in person, but I hope there are some good notetakers. If they don't find her guilty of M1 and learn about all of this fuckery we have had access to they probably will fade into stunned silence. I was in the final phase of jury selection (years ago) until they questioned me (both sides). I was asked to step into a little room, and within seconds I was out of there. I never understood why they chose to boot me so fast. Probably a very good move, I don't have too much patience or tolerance for bullshit.

I actually bought one, and I kind of like it. I got it at Walmart, because I can return it if it sucked. I actually forgot how quick and efficiently the State puts on their case. We have had the mind numbing defense up for months, today was a good trial day.

I was hoping so too. I thought MAYBE after she's exhausted all her appeals she might come clean to a TV show, but that won't be for a very long time, if ever. I am pretty sure I recall Joey Jackson said that most defendants file an appeal after just about every trial. I guarantee she will.
