I don't mean that as snark. Sadly, you want a miracle, but they only have answers they can guess at. Psychology isn't a solid science. You are lucky when you can get two to agree under the best of circumstances. Why don't all psychopaths murder? While others can go on to be driven serial murders. Research offers hints, but fail to find the key to unlock many mysteries. We can land on the moon, but have not found the secrets to 'why' mankind is different in many things.
My own personal belief, the answer is in an old book, evil roams the earth. We each play a part in it every day in some way. What we see in the worst isn't understandable to some. Yet, we chose to excuse away our own little violations daily. Even tell ourselves offenses, our own voids are no big deal. To sociopaths / psychopaths, its the same thing! They have their own denials and voids. To them it is as unimportant as the 'mean' stuff we excuse away each day for our own behaviors. You can't understand their voids, and they don't understand what you think is a big deal. Just like you might shrug off curt words, a catty deed, an 'offense' to someone you perceive as not likable with excuses for being 'mean'. They they are just like us! The same types of excuses and shrugs--- but on a higher degree.

Simple version: I could ask why. Why did you snip that person off. You answer, because they bug me. So, was your perception really a just cause to be mean? Why did you feel you could excuse being mean? Did you really want to hurt another human being? Did you ever spend time plotting to show them, get even or such behaviors? Now magnify it and you have a peek into their world.

If you haven't watched an old movie named "The Bad Seed" you haven't met the real Jodi Arias.
OMG Great movie. I've seen it maybe 3 times and each time I just shake my head in disbelief at how evil someone can be. Like you said, that's the real Jodi Arias.

Why did JA stab, nearly decapitate and shoot Travis? That's the way she's wired. As far as we know, he's her only (dead) victim. Unless you count DoggieBoy and there's no proof he died at her hands. Was smart enough to run away. The cat survived, too.

This is one sad story I tell ya. Real life Bad Seed.

I have no doubt the "trip" is highly illogical, he has so much logic regarding the illogical that will show preplanning to be there. Can JM literally prove she killed him on purpose? Actually no, unless Jodi answers that question. But, there are so many facts that point to it being deliberate. There are too many things that add up, the car rental, borrowing gas cans, phone being turned off, no receipts for Arizona, waking up before Hoover Dam, the visit with Ryan etc. I guess she initially said she was going somewhere to take pictures (which she didn't do), but it makes no sense she'd rent a car to go out of her way to take pics, while the original intent was to meet with Ryan in Utah. After all, she said she was limited with funding. She actually borrowed money for this trip.

When Jodi came to court yesterday, she looked the best I've seen. The shirt was really becoming to her, I wonder if there will be more of the same, or if she'll have to use her "wardrobe" as it was before. Her hair was perfectly clean, her makeup was there etc., the eyeglass trick was new. Did anyone else feel the same way?
Thought the same thing! I especially noticed the squeaky clean hair, the style echoing Dr. D's, and when the camera came in close you could see the eyeshadow (brown) and mascara. And the glasses are now and have always been a prop. No person that age, with distance vision issues corrected by lenses/glasses, needs to "look over," or remove her/his glasses to read! Notice JW reads fine with her glasses on, but the older Nurmi needs to take his off to read fine print.

Totally with you on the need for glasses, bs. Seems she can't decide which is more effective/advantageous to her cause/case...needing them for distance or reading.

What's really annoying about this Trial, is that it has nothing to do with "Domestic Violence" nor "Abuse". What goes around Jodi, comes around....and yours, is deaths door. Enjoy the Fire for eternal life.

It is going to be a long four days until the trial resumes. I have observed that this thread gets a little wacky starting on Fridays. Planets spin out of orbit and tempers get a bit inflamed and once the thread was terminated. This case just sucks one in ....... I feel no pity for floundering Jenny as she and her cohort were all too eager to slander and vilify Travis' memory by making that false pedophile accusation which is reprehensible. Call him a ladies man but you can't have him liking little boys and little girls and women. His family has been amazing and it is heartbreaking to see the pain etched in their faces as the defense team kills him over and over with their obscene defense strategy

From what I understand, she is nearsighted. That's why glasses aren't used when reading. I'm farsighted, but can't see worth a hoot far away with glasses on. In fact it actually distorts my depth perception of objects if I forget to take them off while walking, for example.

JM is going to have to prove the premeditation. I believe in my mind and heart Jodi planned to kill Travis, but if I am looking at the case as of right now- JM has not proven any premeditation. If anything, I think JM and Dr. DeMarte proved that Jodi "snapped" on June 4.

I agree. Too many HUGE coincidences to not be premeditated. Plus renting a white car, upside down license plates, grandpas gun stolen the week before TA was killed and it just so happens to be the same caliber she shot him with, TA txt a week or so before he was murdered, calling her the devil and the worse thing that ever happened to her. For a person with the IQ of Einstein she truly was pretty stupid. I think Jury will choose Murder 1. Maybe a holdout for second degree??

    re: Jodi's glaases

At the start of trial jodi had a different pair of glasses she wore a couple times. She says she started wearing them in 2010. I wonder if anyone of the experts saw her in glasses. I just doubt those are hers. A few months ago I was watching Locked Up and one of the inmates interviewed was talking about his glasses. They keep breaking and he has had to be creative in repairing them. He used plastic spoons as new arms when his broke off. He was demonstrating his method of repair cause he can't get new ones.

Premeditation can be formed in an instant. By her own account, TA fell forward on top of her after she shot him. To stab then slit his throat after disabling him with a gunshot to the head can be viewed as premeditation. While I don't believe her story, even if she "snapped", the slit throat shows she intended to kill him and took extreme measures to make sure he was dead. There is too much of her story one would have to believe to think she snapped.

On another note - The Prosecutor played snippets from interrogations and 48 hours interviews. Will those be available to the jury in their entirety or will they just get those portions played in Court?
